i think its time for scientists to do something about it!!!!

over time it will go away , it will go away even quicker if you make a false truth for yourself such as saying that day never happened or it didnt happen to you or something , after a while your mind will believe it and only remember the truth that you told it , although the memory of the truth is still there just not within reach..

There's a reason that we can't erase memory. It's how God created us. First of all, some of us would completely abuse the ability. We would become completely irresponsible. But most importantly, it's those bad experiences that make us stronger. God has a plan for that. Maybe a friend of yours will have a similar experience and you'll know how to help them. It'll all work out.

if the worst experience related to mental health than do:-
Meditation, Yoga ,insert daily positive attitude as a meal with bed tea
if your worst experience related to physical health
than consult doctor immediately
above all remember time is the biggest healer, so move on with time

"Time is the healer and time moves on time don't wait for anyone "

You can repress the memory, although I think the mind has to do that for you. I don't think you can make it. Sorry...
