Hezbollah was founded by an Iranian-born ex-Minister of Lebanon not so long after he left his post. His objectives is to stand for Moslem's' and native citizens' right that have been taken by Israeli. Hezbollah has a religious bond with Israeli's victims as most of the unknown attacks were meant to genocide people around Israel's border systematically, especially the Moslem's. Lebanon itself had been under Israel's attack before Syria came. Maybe those traumatic period encouraged Lebanese to form Hezbollah for the worst condition that Israel could deliver. They've learned that 'occupatie' (legal terms) of their land is one of the main purpose, if not the biggest one, of the current war. The missing Israel soldier? Oh please, are you really believe in THAT nonsense?

You haven't been following the news
Origins
Scholars differ as to when Hezbollah came to be a distinct entity. Some organizations list the official formation of the group as early as 1982 [30] whereas Diaz and Newman maintain that Hezbollah remained an amalgamation of various violent Shi’a extremists until as late as 1985 [31]. Regardless of when the name came into official use, a number of Shi’a groups were slowly assimilated into the organization, such as Islamic Jihad, Organization of the Oppressed on Earth and the Revolutionary Justice Organization [citation needed]. These designations are considered to be synonymous with Hezbollah by the US,[32] Israel[33] and Canada[34]
Logo of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, from which Hezbollah’s logo is inspiredHezbollah's strength was enhanced by the dispatching of one thousand[35] to fifteen hundred[36] members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the financial backing of Iran. It became the main politico-military force among the Shia community in Lebanon and the main arm of what became known later as the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.[35] Hezbollah follows a Shiite Islamist ideology shared by the leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, but it has abandoned its goal of establishing a fundamentalist Shiite state in Lebanon. Many people in Hezbollah said many times that they have never had such a target.[37]

You do not study history. You only listen to the headlines on the news. Hezbollah was responsible for the massacre of the Marines in Lebanon. Reagan was a wus and cancelled the revenge attack by U. S. forces in the Bekka valley. The French, who were attacked the same day the same way, did conduct a revenge attack. Why do you not study history?

In that case, wake up! It's almost noon. Where have you been all this years?
The current conflict was started by Hezbollah sneaking into Israeli territory and conducting some attacks without being provoked in the first place.
But before that Hezbollah was consistent with its mandate to blot Israel out of the map.

You must have missed the reports. Hezbollah has been a factor in the region for years although they do seem to have relatively long spans of dormancy periodically. The Palestinian situation had actually begun easing a bit in terms of tensions with Israel, which ironically may have been a catalyst for renewed hostilities from other factions wishing to keep their issues at the forefront of global attention. ( That is only an opinion, and not a very qualified one, at that).

The israelis keep killing Babies & children in Lebanon & Palestine, if the brave Resistance went in the military way, why these israelis are killing innocent people? More than 1000 innocent souls till this moment has been killed most of them are children, do not say the Resistance use the population's regions to release their rockets, because till now there is no evidence proves these lies, HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATION & MEDIA AGENCIES (check BBC) REPORTS THESE CASES AND OWES ISRAEL, Don't say the Resistance has initiated this war, because they tend to free 150 women with their children & 10000 men are captives for no reason, by changing two soldiers, don't say why did not the Lebanese government get the diplomatic way to free them, because they did it thousands of times without any response from israel for 20 years.
If the israeli loser army could not destroy the Resistance, that is not an excuse to revenge and kill innocents children, don't say that the Resistance also killed innocent israelis, because most of these killed people are soldiers, don't say that the Resistance bombard the israeli regions because they reply the israeli one, And israel started bombarding population regions in Lebanon.

they were big during the gulf war some 15 years ago. they were big enough back then that supposedly the (worthless) UN had promised to send in their own troops since the israeli troops were having to occupy much of southern lebanon so they woudln't come into israel, but the UN didn't live up to their bargain.
so to answer you're question, you're probably just too young or was more concerned about what the media was telling you about your own country back then.

You're too young apparently.
Hezbollah is responsible for the American bombing in Beirut in the early 80's and they also hijacked a plane where they shot an American Navy Diver and threw his body out of the plane onto the tarmac like he was trash.

We have heard of them....you are just news deprived...they ahve been responsible for many attacks on the USA, and a few other countries.....they have just not done as many suicide attacks....instead, they set bombs off, and they leave before it happens.....I think the fact Israel had enough, and went in to get them, was a bad judgement call on their part....now, instead of just killing innocents, they ahve to run for their lives....they do not have a chance of winning
