I am disabled and bed ridden and currently cannot go to the doctor and so I did not stub or hit my foot or toe and all of a sudden it is falling off, what to do?

I would definantly try to find some way to get to the doctor. If the toe nail is falling off and it is not due to any injury then there could be something seriously wrong. It could be caused from something as simple as a fungus but since you said that you are disabled and bedridden it could be from poor circulation. Please contact your doctor just to make sure that everything is okay. Wish you a speedy recovery.

I believe you have a deep fungal infection, and without the benefit of examination, I suggest you go to or consult by phone with either a podiatrist or a dermatologist for a course of griseofulvin....it is long term therapy.

i wouldnt worry too much about it anti septic cream will help the sorness but it should grow back xx good luck take care xx

Sounds like a fungus. They have oral medication for that, but you'll need to see a doc.
