Can anyone donate a refrigerator, that is in great working condition, to a low income family of eight who are truly struggling?

These past few years they have desperately been struggling financially and are unable to purchase one. The family consists of 6 boys, a sickly mother and a grandmother. At the present time, every bill is a struggle for them (some are really behind) and they just really need a helping hand. So, if you can help them, your donation of love would truly help them. God will definitely bless you for your cheerful giving.

If you cannot donate, do you know of any organization that would?

Thank You

Not sure of your area, but the Salvation Army, any thrift store, if you're in the South and there's an America's Thrift Store - as the store manager to contact Buford Salmon and tell him that Deanna Hunter would like help for this family if at all possible. You might ask a Human Services department if they know of an organization that would be of benefit. Contact the Southern Baptist Associational Office - you should be able to find it under that title in the phone book and see if a church would help. Sometimes homeless shelters have access to furniture stores and second hand stores that will offer special needs assistance. If any of their bills are medical, call and make financial arrangements and see if they don't qualify for Medicaid. If it's utilities, contact them and see if they don't qualify for at least one month's assistance of "dire need" help. Sometimes a Catholic church will have a list of available community resources or the Chambers of Commerce. Hope this gives you some places to start. Dear God, this family needs a refrigerator and more than all these other options, I know you can have someone set them up, but give them wisdom and guidance as to who, what, where, and when they can expect their refrigerator. In your name I pray. Amen.

Check with Catholic Charities or the Salvation Army. They might be able to give you a referral as to where you can find one.

Do you have a Help Hotline in your area? They are more than suicide prevention, they can also assist a struggling family by referring them to agencies that can help them work with various utility companies to lower bills, or budget them, emergency food and clothing distribution, etc.

If you don't have a help hotline, check with your local United Way. They may be able to give you a referral to an agency that can help. Good luck to you!

wow....I wish that I can help with a refrigerator...
maybe check with the Salvation Army in your area for a refrigerator and help with food, clothing and to help pay bills. I hope things will work out for this family..

YWCA/BWTF these Ladies are my heros....they have helped me when I was being abused and they gave me shelter, food and clothing and most of all they gave me courage and strength and helped me to know that I am ok and that I can be me and that I can do things on my own and learn to stand up for me and what is right.

LOL......Take Care....

Christian Charities and the Salvation Army is another one.

Try adding where this family lives..... like state and county... you might get a better response. it's just an idea.

Hope you find these people some help.

Have you called your local Goodwill Store?? Try calling your church or the local trustee for help. There is help out there, you just have to look for it. It will never find you.

Try the Salvation Army Church, not the outlet, but the church itself, they can usually help.
