One of my teacher's when I was in high school had had her tubes tied and when she was about 37 to 41 years old she got pregnant with twins. She told us she was really depressed through her pregnancy but once she saw her babies she was very happy.

Over at least the past 10 years, doctors are refusing to do the procedure if they are not authorized to also burn the edges of the tubes. This is because a tubal ligation should be irreversable, and there should not be any chance of pregnancy.

This is a good example of the decisions that women should make, when considering this procedure. If the doctor does not outright state that they burn the edges, that it's completely irreversable, then the woman should not have the procedure by this doctor, and find someone else.

You don't fall into a pregnancy just so you know. But, yes it does happen. The only way to assure that you don't get someone pregnancy is to have a full hysterectomy. But, there is alot of downfalls to that.

My mom had her's clamped after my brother...and now I have another sister.
