Hm. Let me think. Men invented religion to put a deity on his side so he could kill, seize land and property (with divine permission, which makes it okay). Men made himself the apple of god's eye, created in the deity's image, and blamed woman for tempting him to be bad. Hm.

I've never read the Bible, but Orthodox church gives priviledge to man. If you look in an Orthodox church, men and women stay separated: men at the right side and women at the left. In Bible, only Jesus stands on his Father's right side. That means Orthodox church considers men superior to women. As you know, before Easter and Christmas we have a fasting period of 40 days or so with some food restrictions (meat, eggs, milk etc) and sexual abstinence. And before these 2 big holidays, people go for confessing their sins. If a married woman is asked if she had sex with her husband and she said she did cause it was her husband's will, priest considers it's no sin, cause a woman should never turn her husband down. But it's church only, in real every man should respect his wife and treat her as his equal.

I am not familiar with the teachings in the Greek/ Ukrainian/ Evangelical Orthodox church.
The Bible doesn't say that though. There are some verses that are misunderstood on this point. In 1 Corinthians, it says man is the head of the woman and Jesus is the head of the man. What "head" means in Greek doesn't suggest "boss", it is more "completer". In Galatians husband and wife are to submit to each other.

No. God created Woman to be Man's partner and helpmate. Not his servant. Men interprete the Bible to their advantage and has most of the world back in the day was male dominated of course what they preached was to keep the women suppressed. A man and woman should defer to each other in the decision making of the household, child rearing bills etc. and if they cannot make a decision they should pray and God will help.

Yes and no..
It is from St. Pauls letter to corrinthians saying that the woman should submit to husband and husband must love his wife and hurry to do all that pleases her heart.
St Paul is practically saying that the man is the head of the household, but has no right in undermining his wife, and thus equate and even elevate her in his eyes and the eyes of the people.

No, it says that man is over woman as Christ is over the church. When you look at the fact that Christ loved the church so much he was willing to die for her, this tells us about the relationship that was involved - this means that man actually has quite a little bit to live up to in loving his wife! As a wife we are to respect our husband as he respects Christ. This is one of the most misused scriptures in the Bible! This does not mean we are to be doormats for our husbands, it means that we are to be in such a close relationship that our lives entangled such, that sacrifice of body, limb, or life itself, would not seem to be a sacrifice, but a gift - just as Christ gave himself for the Church. Most men forget to read beyond the, wives submit yourself to your husband ... as Christ gave himself for the church. It's more convenient to play king of the hill, than to be a servant. Christ gave one last action to his disciples, he washed their feet - what example did this set - that they were too never think more highly of themselves than anyone else - it is the same with wives and husbands - we are to be equal in our one-flesh relationship and we should treat one another as we treat ourself.
