If by "kinds of beer" you meant "individual brands of beer", then the answer is in the thousands. If you meant "styles of beer" then there might be as many as 100 depending on the beer's ingredients and the manufacturing process.
That said, all beers are good, and eco-friendly because they all get uniformly recycled by the beer drinkers back to the environment by direct or indirect means.

I did a search online and the highest number I could find that listed beers from 1983 to present was 1916 labels, but to me that seems low.

I am not a huge fan of beer but I like Corona, Heineken, and have just started to like Rolling Rock Light.
