That's The spirit to keeping intimacy alive. I have suggested this before out here, and they liked it so I thought maybe you would too. My Man LOVED IT!!
Now here is an Idea...You'll need Rose Petals, Scented Candles,Bubble Bath, Romantic Music, A Nice Dinner Cooked or Bought By You. Now Take The Rose Petals and Sprinkle Them Allover the Bedroom, and Leave a Trail Leading from the Front Door ,One to The Bedroom, And The Other To The Restroom. Sprinkle some Allover the Bathroom and in the Tub with the Bubble Bath. Now Place the Candles Everywhere, the Room, Bathroom, Living Room, Put on the Music. Have Dinner Served When He Comes In. Leave All the Lights Off, But Place Small Candles Leading the Way to the Different Rooms.

There is no gift considered as best gift but how will he treasure the gift. Sometimes even a card can be very sentimental, so it depends on individual. It can be something simple but useful to him. Hope my suggestion can be useful to u

I think it depends what he is into. Think of what he likes, what his hobbies are, or even better: think of something private that only you and your boyfriend share, and then find a gift that coincides with that. I think the more personal the gift, the more special it will be.

I'm not sure what's the best to give, but it's got to be mutual and shared. Celebrating an anniversary means another year of success..of staying together? not letting any come against it?
For me, i would prefer to share a bottle of wine, that was brought a year ago. As the wine aged, so did our relationship..only thing is..don't perceive it as sour..rather matured.. or fruity?..haha..cheers!

it's the thought that counts but here's an idea: do like a treasure hunt. the clues could be a "favorites" of his and of course the treasure would be you!
ex. of his "favorites" would be like if he was a mechanic, for every clue, you would have a tool waiting with the answer so it not only gets him motivated to get to you but he gets prizes along the way. :)
