The seeds inside the water melon is planted and in a few days it geminate and in a few months lets about 2 months it has spread all over the place. Then it produce a yellow flower which later on produce the water melon. That is that flower that is produce is the water melon. It can't climb because the stem is too weak and the melon is so heavy

A plant from the Cucurbitaceae family, the same family as cucumbers and marrows. They do grow on the ground but if you grow them "upwards" in a greenhouse you have to support the fruit with nets because they are so heavy they drop off before they are ripe.

Watermelon plants are creepers which spread on the ground. Watermelons are too heavy even to hang from creepers which are raised up.
