From where i can buy it? I was provided a version 2003 by my computer entineer which now shows that it is out of date. So i uninstalled it. Now I want to purchase a registered copy. Can it be downlodable and pay the money in cash or it be obtained from shops in CDs. Please guide me.

I agree with "reichman2007" Why WASTE your money on over priced bloatware.
I use all the following FREE protection software.
I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. (knock on wood.) (And be sure to keep Windows and the following software Updated)
The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)
The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)<--English version
AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.
These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.
The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

Sometimes the best price is online at Norton's website www.symantec.com and other times the best price is in a store like Circuit City or Best Buy or Fry's. If you are short on time, buy it as a download from symantec, and if you have some time, it's probably worth it to go to a store and look at the different options/prices... Good luck!

If you want to save your money go to www.avast.com and get their free home version. Works better than Norton. If you go with the free versions try to stay away from AVG. Just had a PC loaded with viruses that was using AVG with all the updates.

You can go to any store that sells software and buy it, or, you can buy and download it from the Norton site.
I would suggest the first, because you then have a 'hardcopy'.

mcafee dont waste your money on norton. i loaded it on my computer and the thing scanned for 36 hours SOLID and never found anything. Mcaffee scanned for 1 hour and found 3 viruses now you tell me something i dont know

do like i did, wipe out your computer and reinstall everything. i got Norton for another year, cause the computer didn't recognize that Norton had been on it before.

For God sake don't waste your money.
Just use something free like AVG or Avast...or go to Mcafee
