I don't know which company you're talking about specifically, but there's a company in Canada that has Mountain Spring Water that comes from British Columbia and while it's true that they use water that comes thousands of miles through the mountains from glaciers and such, they still boil it to remove probable bacteria and parasites. Spring and mountain water can still contain bacteria, so they boil it for purification, but they don't filter it.

It all marketing tactics to trap unsuspecting and gullible customers. One can file a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) against the manufacturers/marketing people who claim such a thing. In my country the PIL courts are full of these sorta petitions and the law seems to be catching up resulting in a healthy competition among the manufacturers.
I do'nt think anyone has actually seen any such thing as 'coming from glaciers or mountains' stuff. Its all bs.

There is such think as natural spring water. Some contain minerals and some contain just water. Is there enough to supply all the water that a company needs to have? I really don't know. I'm inclined to think most bottled water is just filtered.

natural spring water does exists, I know of 2 places, one of which us used to make bottled water. They set up a system so they can fill tanker trucks and then drive it to the facility to be tested/cleaned/filtered whatever, before it goes into bottles...so I'd say its real

If it really comes from the mountain I will definately not drink it....I think it's too polluted by the dirt...and maybe the minerals are harmful to the body too. I prefer pure water

Comes out of a hose in a New Jersey bottling plant. People who buy that stuff just fall for the advertising.

They are all filtered. They are just trying to sound different. The advertising succeeded. Like it or not, they got your attention, and that is their job.

Bottled water is not as pure as water from the source.

Didn't Coca-Cola's water have high levels of benzine in it?

actually, spring water is pure and does not need to be filtered so if it says natural spring water then its pure. stuff like dasani and aquafina however, are not pure. there is salt in it so it makes you more thristy so you have to buy more of it.
