You may want to go the doctor and make sure there is not a medical reason explaining your chronic fatigue. I was experiencing the same problem and I discussed it with my family doctor and he ordered a CBC(complete blood count) and it came back that I was anemic. I had low iron. He put me on iron pills temporarily and coached me in ways to manage my iron levels through my diet and I slowly began to feel better. 2 months later they checked just my iron levels in his office, by a simple prick of my finger, and it was normal. One symptom of being anemic is the constant desire to eat ice. Sounds strange but it is true. Now that does not mean that if you do not want to eat ice that you are not anemic, that is just a side effect and one that I do experience, when iron levels are low. If there is not a medical reason explaining why you are so tired after a good nights sleep it may mean that you require more than 8 hours or less than 8 hours sleep to feel rested. You will just have to adjust your sleep patterns until you find what works for you. I have found that I feel better after about 6 hours and that if I sleep more than that I get achy and my back hurts and I feel lethargic. Good luck and I hope you find a solution to this. There is nothing worse than feeling bad and tired all the time.

Sleep apnea can cause you to feel lethargic too, as well as many other problems such as low iron (anemic), chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, or even medications you may be taking . . . you should be seen by a physician and insist he run lab tests on you to rule out other causes.

If I were you I would go to the doctor and get a checkup first. If everything is fine, you probably need to exercise and just generally move around more. If you've been working a lot, you might need a vacation. Good luck. I hope you feel better.

maybe you need to see a doctor and have them run some tests on you, you could be anemic or have a thyroid problem making you so sleepy. these are simple blood draws. in the mean time try taking a walk and getting some fresh air.
