nowadays, with all the chemicals we use on our hair, skin, etc., it's easy to really mess up what we have been "Naturally" . so i am going to suggest a natural remedy that is or may be in your home already...don't freak out though, i do this all the time and i was very guilty of using those damaging products for years, my hair looked horrible and with major frizz. so, here goes. do you have olive oil? this is the best hot oil product there is and it is extremely inexpensive. once or twice a month, rub a good amount, don't saturate, onto your dry hair. wet two towels and wring out well. place one of the towels in the microwave...NOT KIDDING, for about i min...use caution as the towel might be very hot, so adjust the heating time if you need to. place the hot towel on your hair and wrap. keep it on until it cools. the other wet towel can be heating as you are using the one on your head. repeat this process, rotating the hot towels for about 30 min or 1 hour...depending on the damage of your hair. after the treatment, wash the hair and let dry naturally. blow dryers will also dry out the hair. if you ask a beautician about this remedy they'll probably laugh at you and try to get you to buy their products anyway...trust me, natural is so much better than artificial...:) also, i do use a natural hair color at times. i do not perm anymore as this is also extremely damaging to the hair. remember, when you do this treatment to place a bit more oil on the more damaged areas...don't use the whole bottle in one setting....just about a few tablespoons should do the trick. you can find more natural remedies on line or at your local bood store or library. hope this works for you...:)

For a cheap at-home remedy, use mayonnaise. Wet your hair with warm water, apply mayonnaise like a hair mask. Let it set for about 5-10 min. rinse with warm water. You can shampoo if you want. For something over the counter, you can buy an at-home hot oil treatment. They are inexpensive and work well.

Pantene has special collections for dry and damaged hair, I hadn't tried that yet, but my friend has and it turned out quite okay. I use Dove collections for dry and damaged hair and it's really good, the conditioner really helps. There's Also Garnier Fructis and it's been having heaps of ad's on tv and in mags.

I recommend Dove collections- blue- normal
purple- dry and damaged hair

go out and buy neutrogena triple moisturizer conditioner... wet ur hair put the conditioner in and put a hair cap ( shower cap ) on . Then you can either take your blow dryer to the cap to warm it up or put a towel in the dryer and make sure it's really hot and wrap it around the cap. your follicles will open and let the moisture in. make sure your hair has completely cooled off before rinse'n and rinse your hair in cold water ( as cold as you can handle) this will close the follicle and keep the moisture in.

coconut oil every day

or egg yolks, work them into your hair an leave in for about 10 minutes under a plastic cap and rinse hair thoroughly.

Mashed Avocado is amazing too, a bit messy but sure worth it - work into hair and keep in for 20 - 30 minutes and rinse hair thoroughly.
