Wha? (Slaps self in forehead) D'oh! All this time I thought I was so clever, demanding factual proof and questioning the right of a non-elected entity to judge me! Wow, do I feel dumb! Right then, sign me up for the afterlife. Thanks for pointing this out - I'd hate to think I was damned for all time!

Is fear a good reason to be a good person?
Im a good person because I believe that its what Im here to do. Not because Im afraid of God and not because I want an afterlife..... Sounds kind of selfish to do what you do to get a reward and not for the good of others.

...stupid christian. You could go the other route and be a slave to a story that was made up years ago and still not have an afterlife. But since I see how judgemental and selfish you are Im sure that you wouldnt want to put forth the effort to be a good person.

Stupid religious freaks, do you know that if you believe in God you get no afterlife and just die.

It doesn't really matter either way- believing doesn't change the fact that in the end we are just a pile of dirt.

If we all had this belief we might not be having these stupid religious disputes and killing each other.

And if you do believe in god you get no afterlife and just die. But you wasted some part of your life believing in god, so now who's stupid?

As a stupid atheist I can say with pride I admit I don't know what is there in afterlife or if there is one and you don't either after you have to die first. So far none of the dead have returned to tell us.

Calling someone stupid for their beleifs is in itself a self proclamation if stupidity.

The poets enter the gate and the initial sights and sounds of Hell at once assail Dante; he is moved deeply and horrified by the sight of spirits in deep pain. The unending cries make Dante ask where they come from, and Virgil replies that these are the souls of the uncommitted, who lived for themselves, and of the angels who were not rebellious against God nor faithful to Satan. Neither Heaven nor Hell would have them, and so they must remain here with the selfish, forever running behind a banner and eternally stung by hornets and wasps. Worms at their feet eat the blood and tears of these beings.

Stupid religious fanatic muslims who blow up buildings and kill hundreds of innocent people are going to find out the same thing; that there is no afterlife and that there are no 72 virgins waiting for them anywhere.

What kind of a deal would this be for the virgins, anyway?

You shouldn't be calling atheists stupid. You should be trying to bring them to a relationship with God. How can calling an atheist stupid draw them closer to God and what is that saying about Christians? It is just saying we are judgmental.

Stupid Bible humper, did you ever stop to think what you would do with an eternity? According to the Bible you will spend an eternity in heaven singing praise to God, to me that sounds like it would get boring really quick. And if your a bad Bible humper you get to spen an eternity roasting in Hell in indescribable agony. Suddenly no afterlife sounds pretty good huh ?

As much as I would like to subscribe to that opinion, it's not true and that's no way to tell an atheist what to do.

What they believe or choose to trust is their own problem. It's not easy changing your mind pattern.

I just hope they can get past the cynicism and bias and consider truth, whatever form it takes, even if it offends or blows the mind.
