I have tried herbal supplements, over-the-counter medications, and prescription medications. I am VERY sensitive to sedatives, which makes me oersleep, so I am looking for alternatives to these.

Insomnia is a very common occurance especially in women. Have you had a sleep study done to rule out sleep apnea? That can have a profound affect on your life which would leave you feeling like you haven't slept at all. However, if insomnia is your only problem, these steps may help you to sleep better. Before you go to bed, read a very boring book like chemistry. Don't go to bed right after watching TV or reading an exciting book. When you do go to bed, make sure the room is very dark. You can try over the counter herbal type remedies, but I never have had luck with them myself. Hope this helps you some.

Here is what helps me:

1. Do some physical exercise during the day
2. Wind down for an hour or so before I go to sleep
3. Drink a cup of chamomile
4. Take a melatonin
5. Do my 5-minute routine: I remain perfectly still for 5 minutes and try to relax my body, starting from the feet and working my way up: feet, ankle, calves, thighs etc.

Also, after your brush your enamel, use a few Listerine mouthwash. This will make you think further contemporary. Also, wash your face with scorching water to open up your pores. Then use a well smelling frame lotion and paintings it into your face. This will make you think blank, and you are going to smeel satisfactory.
