I was in Llanberis the other day - there was a pretty fine caravan site there (from what I saw of it that is, I stayed in a small hotel near by). The easiest way to find Llanberis is the follow directions for the slate museum. There is a castle, a lake with a boat tour, a steam train up Snowdon and it's about 30 mins from Caernarfon and Bangor which are both packed full of kid related activites. Now I think about it I stayed in a campsite near to the castle in Caenarfon when I was about 12 (I had a broken foot I think). Ah yes and go to Anglesey Sealife Centre I remember that was pretty good fun when I was there all those years ago.

Ah ha! A website on tourism in North Wales... and here is that caravan site I went to as a kid...
(see sources)
it's the caenarfon bay caravan site.

Have a fanastic holiday!
Oh and if you prefer south Wales take them to the Doctor Who exhibition in Cardiff... I would LOVE to see that. EXTERMINATE!!
Such a great show...

Yes, Snowdonia is great, but quite 'wild' so more difficult for kiddies type walks. Caernarfon Castle and Anglesea are beautiful. Down South are The Mumbles and Three Ciffs Bay, stunning beaches. The Centre for Alternative Technology is really worth a visit, best to look it up on the net for location. Have fun!

I would recommend Pembrokeshire, don't know any campsites that way but lots to do with kids, with some great beaches, site attached lists lots of stuff to do and visit. The waether is normally better here then North Wales.

North Wales...you have Snowdonia...plenty of castles...indoor play areas and museums if the weather changes...the coast in awesome. Head for the Caernarfon area...and then you'd be central for most places!!!
