It depends on your body weight and sex, and how long you take to consume the drinks. A 100 lb woman is legally drunk (over .08% blood alcohol in most places) after just two drinks, a 180lb man after perhaps 3 to 4. This is in terms of 'legally' drunk.

I am a large mammal, and can drink a good half a bottle of spirits before I get a descent buzz on - a whole litre to get smashed. What a derelict.

It all depends. I mean, for a drastic example, I have seen a friend get sick-drunk on one amount of spirit (about 70 ml), and the NEXT evening drink about _four times_ the amount and not get anywhere near that drunk.

I take quite a bit to get really drunk, usually, especially if I have some food alongside, and if dances are added, I can take quite a lot.

Depends on a lot of things actually.. it's weird. I don't drink anything but mixed sweetened drinks, 2oz of Rum or Vodka and something with it.. coke, OJ, whatever I feel like that day..

If I'm at a bar dancing with friends and I ate before I went.. then it takes alot.. 8 or 9 drinks till I'm nicely toasted.
If I didn't eat before I go.. takes about 5.
If I'm at home hanging out with friends, it takes about 4-7.. depending on wether or not I eat..

So.. I know what to do if I want to get trashed and not pay alot.. don't eat supper and go dancing at a bar with my friends.

depends on your age and how long you've been drinking. body mass also has an effect. but i've been drinking 17 years and it takes me 9 litres of medium strength cider to get drunk thats 5 percent proof. to get totally pished 12 ales and 2 bottles of wine

It depends upon the time of day, time of the month, type of alcohol, company and mood.
If I am alone I dare not start a second beer.
In company I can drink all night long and rarely get drunk.
Average that out and say four bottles.
It is the frequency of the visits to the loo that is the bigger problem for me.

Depends on kind of drink and the capacity of the person to handle the alcohol.
