I believe that we inherit both from our families. It has been noticed when comparing the lives and mannerisms of identical twins who were separated at birth and reunited later in life. It's uncanny how similar they are - how they wear their hair, how they speak, what they like, what their talents are. I think that our genetic makeup influences our wiring and we inherit certain predilections from our ancestors.

Yes sometimes, usually it's unfortunate that we do. I've inheritated a lot of things I DO NOT LIKE from my ancestors. There are some traits (that I've noticed) that are passed on to every other generation. (For example, I noticed that my daughter has a small head, she got that from her grandmother. So that was a Skip-A-Generation Trait I think, and her daughter won't have it, but perhaps her grandaughter will) Some are just carried but not presented till later on in a generation. Thats kind of interesting to think of. I've got a lot of things passed onto me from my parents that I don't like. If I told all of it, I'd be here forever. One thing I do not know is where my Left-Handedness came from, I can't find any ancestor that wrote left-handed ! I feel I'm the only one.

What we inherit are biological predilections for certain traits or abilities. Our environment still plays a large role in their appearance. What good would an ability to play piano be if we were never exposed to the instrument.
You can find research which shows chemical dependencies can be transmitted in our genes to our children. Alcoholism and susceptibility to drugs are two areas where much work is being done.

I think we do to an extent.
Do you think that they way a woman raises her children or keeps her house is more often than not how her mother did it? If her mother was a screamer, is it more than likely she will handle things by being a screamer too? Yes I think so. Does that always hold true? No, but it happens enough to see there is some validity in it.
As for talents, I think that holds true to an extent because businesses, family businesses, can remain in the family for generations. You could argue that they inheritor was trained to that profession and so the talent was learned not inherited, but I think in order to love the business enough to keep it thriving one has to have some kind of inherent talent. We tend to develop in ourselves that which comes naturally because we love it - and\or because it's the path of least resistance.

I think we mostly inherit them from our ancestors. Of course we create some of them during our life, but still a big part of them is taken from our parents. For example if your father is a lawyer, than probably you are going to become one too, bercause you have a natural talent in it. Or famous musicians and actors have always had someone in their family who had talent in art.

personality traits - no. physical talents - yes.
personality is simply learned behaviors, most heavily influenced by those of the primary social group. physical talents are something that can be inherited, ie - large penis, strong bones, hair types (curly straight, etc). Get the point? Hope this helps.

yes of course....an example....everyone love the scene of green areas, and sound of water...why? because our ancestor es found the way to eat if it is green and to drink from a lake or a river .... although now u can have a fridge full of food and water,, but still u like the view of green areas and the sound of water ruining nearby........ even the feeling of beauty in men and women .....is inherit... the function to survive , having babies with healthy breast, wide waiste.....etc...is the marks of beauty in women....muscles in man to protect (we do not need them now for that reason) being tall (to pick the fruits from trees...still marks of a handsome man...
