Basically it's a metaphorical statement which really means that there is a lot of understanding between the people who love each other. And yes, I agree with it. But then again, it depends, because if it is a major issue which has caused damage among many then there is a need for an apology.

No, no, no. "Sorry" is one of the most important words in the English language. Are you just supposed to ignore rude, hurtful or even accidentally hurtful things? Of course you have to apologies to the ones you love and try to never do that thing again. Just because you love them doesn't mean that you will never do anything to hurt them and when you do you really have to be sorry and act sorry. Whoever thought of that stupid saying must have been a spoiled brat.

Nope. Communication, admitting when you're wrong, and forgiveness are keys to a successful relationship.
Love Story was just being pithy with that line. They meant that it was supposed to just be understood.

You know the word 'sorry' is so common in relationships because everybody has to admit that they have done something wrong- it is apart of life.

Do not agree. If you never say you are sorry resentment will build up.

i disagree. love is about compromise. give and take. if you make a mistake, be prepared to make up for it, and if it's true love, expect the same in return.
