I have a friend who is a bartender and she suggested putting my 100% agava (sp) tequila in the freezer and serving straight from the freezer. I have never heard of this before but I'm also more a whisky, scotch fan myself, and I'm just trying something new. Any help would be great. thanks

Some people do this, but it's more a matter of style and personal taste.

Generally, if something is colder, you cannot taste it as much. (for example, bad beer is better cold). Maybe your friend doesn't like the taste of tequila and does it this way.

It also seems like too much work to me. Good tequila is like cognac, and you can drink it straight without being ice cold.

i find tequila is much easier to take shots of when it is room temperature. If you are making margaritas or some other mixed drink, then you can definitely cool it to keep the mix cold.

Any hard alcohol.. tequila, rum, vodka, whiskey, scotch.. it's all better left out. That's just my opinion.. I've worked at lots of bars and have been to more.. and I know it's always left out, and I always leave mine out.

As any strong alcohol it goes down easier cold.

It`s agave, the plant. The freezzing helps to reinforce the taste of this liquor, also in vodka or gin. Try it!!!
