Begin by cutting back and start a workout routine. At dinner, eat on a salad plate and no seconds. If you eat out, then think about the foods you eat when you go out, try to eliminate something and when the food it delivered to your table, immediately get a take out container and put half of your meal to go. The quick fix diets do not work because once you lose the weight and go back to a normal diet the weight comes right back. This way, you cut back and lose gradually which will keep it off. Anyone who tells you that you can lose weight and keep it off by fad diets is not being honest. you have to retrain the way you think about food and by eating on a smaller plate, you can trick yourself into thinking you still have a full plate. Eat slowly and listen to your stomach when it tells you it feels full. I once read that we do not know how to listen to our body when it talks to us. Also watch someone who is really thin eat food for a few days. You will see them push their plate away when they feel full. That is what you need to learn to do. Exercise is a must. You don't have to be Billy Blanks but you do need to get moving. Good Luck.

Sweetie, if you're overweight, you can't lose weight on your regular diet. If you want to lose weight you have to lessen your food intake and the frequency of eating. Keep in mind that losing weight is not just reducing your numbers in the weighing scale. It is also trimming down while keeping yourself fit and healthy.

First is to lessen your fat/oil intake.. stay away from fast foods (french fries, hamburgers, sundaes, etc...) also lessen your carbohydrates and sugar intake. Exercise regularly, get enough sleep, and drink lots of water.

Would be best to eat fresh or half-cooked vegetables and fish. If you can't avoid chicken, eat the white part (meat without the skin) only.
