Big business and Big government aren't always looking out for general populations best interest. If enough resources were dedicated to researching alternative fuel methods, I'm sure we could find a solution quickly that might be 10 times cheaper or better. I'm glad that you asked such a question. If we were all as interested in the subject, maybe something would have been done by now.

Like most things, need is the mother of invention. They will make it happen when fuel prices get high enough or we run out of fuel. It would smarter of us to get it done now before we HAVE to do it, but not as profitable for some others.

Even though there are a lot of things I disagree on President Bush, research on hydrogen fuel cells is one thing he wants the government to research. I do believe that his energy policy's are the best that have come from any past administration.
