Yes. If you eat an orange, you are chewing which burns a few calories. The peeling also takes some time & energy. You will probably eat one orange but you might drink a few glasses of juice because it's easier. So less calories if you eat the orange.
The orange has fiber in it--even "pulpy" OJ doesn't have as much. If you've just squeezed an orange, think of all the parts you throw out--that's fiber. Fiber is what makes fruit and veggies so good for you (besides the vitamins)--it's great for your digestion.
Plus most OJ on the market is made from concentrate and/or has added water and who knows what else.

Yeah. You get the fibre and all the nutrients in the pith if you eat the orange rather than drink the juice. This is why juice, no matter how much you drink, will only count as 1 when it comes to the recommended 5 portions a day.

Some of the orange juice has preservatives in. I have always thought that if the freshly squeezed OJ is in the fridge at the supermarket then it has no preservatives in so it is 100% healthy and pure. If is just on the shelf it has peservatives in and is not 100% pure.

No. Eat the oranges instead. You need more oranges to make a glass of juice so you are consuming more sugar.

Conventional orange juice is junk food because during pasteurization it has lost its dietary fiber and vitamin c and A. The only thing that is added back is vitamin C. Fresh squeezed orange juice isn't junk food however. Pick the orange.

fresh home made orange juice is better and even better when you dilute it to 1/3 orange juice and 2/3 water. add sugar if sour kinda grapes and a lil cumin powder (indian spice which aint spicy, it just tastes good with oranges) and wala...fresh orange juice. i personally like that coz it helps digest better coz water involved so good for filteration of kidney etc. u knw wot i mean? it gives u twice the benefit so...orange or orange juice? wots it gunna be? lol

The whole fruit is better for you. The whole fruit provides fiber and vitamins taht are lost in the process of juicing. Becareful about juice that has sugar or other things added, also not good for you.
