Leave pops alone he's right.Nobody says the pig gets the money but where does it go it don't go to the city.It must just lay around the courthouse and collect dust huh.all pops said is writing tickets is a money thing and there is no money in fighting crime.Thats why we have so many murderers and rapist out on the street the police are to busy writing tickets.The problems with child molestation and other SERIOUS crimes would not be half as bad if the police would get off they as$ and investigate a little instead of writing tickets all day long.And for some of you I would put the badge on but I can't because I feel there is more important crimes going on out there than speeding or rolling slowly through a stop sign.Smoothsophie has some very valid points but why was that child not in a car seat isn't that also illegal?

smoothsophie,that was beautiful,too bad it was a load of crap.They may do some of the things thet you mentioned,and thats good ,I would love to think that they are doing something to help the people of the community.But when you strap a gun on a coward,give um a can of mace,a club,and radio so they can call the other cowards,then you have a person that will manipulate and abuse.They DO NOT CARE ABOUT CRIME,its a money thing.They are out there looking for the slighest infraction just to write a ticket.Cops are on a power trip,with little or no consideration for the working class man.It's a money thing.

That's the motto. But a motto is something to be aimed for, not a description. There are good and bad police forces. And within those there are both good and bad individual policemen. Is there a better way to enforce the law?

There are bad apples everywhere you go, but for the most part police officers are there protecting and serving you. They have to be babysitters when parents can't take care of their kids or control their 5 yr olds. They have to be peace keepers when neighbors are to affraid to ask people to turn down music. They have to be dog catchers, cat napers, and snake charmers. They have to break up fights at the bars, They have to arrest boyfriends that beat up their girlfriends (who inturn bond them out because he loves her, until the next time he hits her again, and again, and again). They have to take reports of stolen bikes because they weren't locked up. take reports for stolen cars when the keys were left in it over night. They have to protect children when their parents beat them, or cook Meth in the house when they are there, or when babies are left in a car by themselves. They have to enforce the traffic laws and get yelled at by the idiot they pulled over (for breaking the law), and listen to how worthless they are and what a waist of time they are when they could be stoping real criminals, because speeding isn't that bad.....until they hit another veh with a small child in it that wasn't in a car seat so it flew through the front window and died. They have to deal with drug dealers, theifs, child molester, abusers, punk kids, murderers, drunks, fires, medical calls, animal call and countless others that I have fail to mention.... all so you can curse and yell at them tell them how worthless they are and how they abuse their power, all of the little pay that they get, just to protect you, people that are too stupid, young, nieve, old, or whatever else the case may be, to protect themselves.

Its a money thing........last time I checked I wasent getting paid the best pay. Coward? HA! How many cowards do you know that would lay daow their life for some one they dont know? Different strokes for different folks. Shouldn't married couples honor and obey.....husband and wives lie and disrespect each other all the time. Everyone is human. I have never thought of policemen as being role models nor have I ever relied on them for protection. They are human just like you and me. Its all political because you have your "good" cops...the ones that all the old ladies love and then you have your "bad" cops...the one that all the criminals respect.
