Yes, Israel is right in attacking Lebanon because it allows the Hezbollah guerillas to stay in their country.

Yes, Israel is completely justified in its attack on Hezbollah. Israel is doing what a tiny state in a sea of hostility always does and has to do in order to survive, and thats hit hard, fast and with enough power. That's the only way their enemies will know for a fact that they are not blowing hot air at them with empty threats. Many of the surrounding states didn't even acknowledge its outright existance before repeated invasions by usually more than one party at a single time. Whats surprising is Israel is still alive and well today, fighting off nearly every single country that it borders at least once in the past 50 years. The problem with Israel responding to force with force is that every single bomb they drop, shell they lob and missle they launch only makes their enemies stronger in the long run, it may kill 50 militants, but the effects will make 100 future militants. It is caught in the middle of a ever spinning conundrum. Every new generation has its martyrs and terrorists and with the way things are being fought it will only stay this way until someone decides to do something different.

Israel is justified in attacking Lebanon. Look, any country that is willing to fight against terrorism, then I support them. I feel horrible about the children that are being killed over there, but the leaders of their own country don't even care! These maniacs support Hezbollah, and they are terrorist! If the Lebanese Government cared about their people, especially the children, they would do the right thing when it comes to Hezbollah.
I think about those kids, and I wish better for them. But I also think about 9/11 and what the terrorist did that day, and how many innocent children were killed then, and I don't want to see another September 11th in America. The only way we are going to prevent something like that happening again in the US, England and these other peaceful countries that are being tortured by these bastards, is to just wipe them out, or at least make sure they are locked up for life.
(I know there people out there that believe our Government planned and carried 9/11, but that is absolutely ridiculous)

I do. given the situation, which is what it is.
Naive Americans on this forum probably do not have the perspective of the constant terror campaigns being waged against them.
If my neighbors are all lobbing rockets and blowing things up on my property, I'm taking the fight to my neighbors house!
Israel tends to stay behind its borders and not rocket and shell any one who leaves them alone.
I cannot be live that some people are posting that Israelis are killing women and children..........but failing to recognize that Hezbollah has been doing it and plans to continue. Israel cannot ever win, they can only stop the latest attack, and wait for the next. That is a tough position to be in.
That does not make me a fan of Israel or hate the Lebanese. And it does not make me any happier about the people who get caught up in the middle on both sides.

It is ridiculous to expect Israel not to attack. When Israel pulled out of Lebanon in 2000 it was with the agreement that Lebanon and the UN would prevent Hezbollah from attacking Israel. That condition has not been met. How long should any nation allow itself to be attacked before it retaliates? How can we expect Israel not to attack?

Peace would be better, but peace must include Hezbollah not attacking Israel.

Yes. Isreal,in conflicts with its arab neighbours, has a zero option. And that`s why it`s always in a state of alert. Israel has to hit hard to destabilise active-for-life enemies and deter potential ones. Imagine a meek Israel anyday-do you suppose it would last as a state despite America`s support ? Previous wars indicate a doomsday. You just need to look over in Iraq. Israel`s response is too heavy but any other option would be to its peril.

When you poke the wasp nest you get stung. They have a better reason to attack lebanon the the usa does being in Iraq. Us amercans don't know what its like to live in fear of suicide bombers every day of our lives. They got fed up.
