I am 57, soon to be 58 and I feel as though I've been nearly every person in the Bible during my lifetime.

I am Ruth because that book helped me to like my name. Before reading it I used to ask God to make my like everybody else.

I am Naomi because now I am the grandmother living with my daughter, her husband and their 9 month old son.

I am Ehud because I am left handed. I do not handle a sword but I am really good at turning the pages of the Bible each day as I read it and study it.

I am Mary the sister of Martha who sat at Jesus' feet.

Joseph's life I think resembles mine. Being in the pit and being tested by God a lot so I can get promoted to the palace.
If I had to choose one though it would be Apostle Paul aka Saul. I can't see the point to living a lukewarm life. He was totally sold out to God/Jesus/Gospel. He lived for Jesus and that is totally HOT. God said He would rather us be Hot or cold not lukewarm. Paul was on fire for Jesus Christ and His gospel. He had a very exciting life. And that is good.

If I were a Bible character, I would be Peter. While Peter had a deep love for Christ, he demonstrates the depth of human sin, and he realizes his dire need for the Lord. Also, I know that despite best of intentions, I would deny Christ no differently than Peter did, because my love can in no way compare to His Love.

Lot-his character revealed by his choices failed to recognize what could hurt him, greed led him into sinful surroundings, why did he give his daughters over to perverts? -That is on a bad day-Lot's strengths, he was a successful business man, Peter calls him just and righteous man. Lot's weaknesses and mistakes: when faced with decisions he tended to put off deciding, then chose the easiest course of action. When given a choice, his first reaction was to think of himself. Lesson from his life: God wants us to do more than drift through life; he wants us to be an influence for him. Lot lived in Ur, then moved to Canaan then to Sodom. Lot was a wealthy sheep and cattle rancher. Lot's father was Haran and adopted by Abram when his father died. His wife turned into a pillar of salt. Key verse: "and while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful unto him:and they brought him forth, and set him without the city"Genesis 19:16.

I think I would like to have been there to see the parting of the Red Sea. That had to of been so awesome. To have lived in any-ones time back then would have been a blessing. I would have loved to have been one of Jesus' followers. Can you imagine seeing the miracles he performed? But the one life story that I would live would be Job. And the reason---I want that kind of love and faith that he had for God. Nothing could make him turn his back on God. And when this world comes to a end,and if I am still alive when it happens, I want my love and faith to be as strong as Jobs was. Isn't God great?

Story of the Prodical Son. Because I grew up in a christian home, went my own way when I was 19 and returned to Christ when I was 24. I like him went and blew my inheritance, became poor and living in my own filth. Returned home to be a servant only to be welcomed back as a son.

God is Awesome

The morals of the Bible have stayed the comparable in the time of time. one million."Love the Lord your God with all your coronary heart" 2."Love your others as you love your self" those morals could be seen from conceal to conceal of the Bible. and that i believe that those morals are greater correct now than on the different time. the recent testomony exchange into written with the aid of fact it encapsulates Jesus' time on earth. no longer with the aid of fact the previous testomony grew to become beside the point.

I would rather be dead then live like they did or supposedly did.Always in fear and always delusional and always at war and always finding a new reason to be called a sinner and always feeling like you need to do more for God and less for yourself is no way to live because that's not life. It's religious slavery.

Nope, I would rather have a time machine and live about a hundred years in the future.
