Ok, you're from a hot and humid country... BE PREPARED! Where im from, it's generally not that cold in winter, and not terribly hot in summer... So I think you will find it ABSOLUTELY freezing.
I was living in Busan last winter, and it was bearable... Seoul is sooo much colder than Busan. I came to Seoul to meet up with some friends, and then went to Japan. I was wearing a winter coat, thermal underwear, 2 sweatshirts, 2 t-shirts, gloves and a hat. I was still cold.
When I left Japan it was 2 degrees then when I came back to Korea it was -10degrees (celcius) even on the bus with a heater, it was cold.
If you are acclimatised to cold weather, I think it would be bearable, but I know of people coming here even now (summer) who say it is cold!

I have been to Seoul in February and the temp was about freezing. It snowed a little. It is in a mountainous area so it can get cold. So definitely bring a good coat. Maybe a hat and gloves. The subway is very sophisticated so you shouldn't have to be exposed to the cold for too long. The weather was similar to Boston when I was there.

Korea is just starting to get a bit cold in December, but not that cold. It might snow, but it doesn't often snow in winter here compared to other countries that have cold winters. The weird thing about Korean winters is that they are very dry! I often wear my sunglasses in the winter because the sky is so clear and the sun is bright even though it's freezing cold!

I've been in Korea for only one winter but.....
The weather was not that cold, around 0'C most of the time. Not much snow and when it does snow it doesn't stay long. Bring a coat and a hat.

It's usally 0'c or -1~2'c..
It's just like NY..You should bring your thick clothes...(If you don't wanna get cold...)
But as the up person says it's bright~clear blue sky..
There is snow..
A lot of snow in the end of December and middle of January..
Good luck to you..

BRING.....LOTS.......OF.........WARM.........CLOTHES.
gets pretty nippy there around wintertime. about the same as New York or any other place that gets chilly winter temps. if you plan on travelling get some comfy waterproof boots. but bring cold weather gear. ain't no "comfortable" winter days down there.
