if you really like him then age wont matter..and your friends should support you not make fun..and if they do make fun then you might want to rethink your friendships!! If it were me i would for sure go out with him if i like him..and my friends might giggle a bit but then they'll have my back..(no matter what)!good luck

In principle, no the age gap isn't big. But there are many different versions of 21 and 18. If you're pretty child-spirited and he's a little mature for his age, then I don't see there being a problem. The problem would only arise for you if you were pretty mature and had seen a fair bit more of life than him and he was still pretty childish.
As far as what your friends think, they may object on the grounds mentioned above, but if they are your friends and this is someone you really want, then go for it. Life's too short...

Who cares? My sister has been married to her husband who is 3 years younger than she is for the past 28 years. They have a beautiful relationship. She was 24 when she married him, but they dated a few years before they tied the knot. If you are worried about what your friends will think, then they aren't very good friends.

age should have nothing to do with it. i really don't see why an age difference of 3 years is wrong. and don't worry about your friends. if anything they'd be jealous they can't get the younger guys like you can.and if they were your friends, why would they question your hapiness with this guy in the first place?

Why should you care what other people think? If you like the guy, then go for it! It is your life and your business. Age really isn't a factor if you are both mature adults!

i'm nearly 21 n like this guy who is 17. all my mates laughed when I told them but he is more sweet and attentive than guys twice his age. Ignore what people say if you like him go for it. my mum is 7 years older than my dad and they are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary! age is just a number : )
