A dog is usually in heat for a period of about 21 days.
She is most fertile between the 9th and 14th day.
Just be aware all dogs are slightly different and some have become pregnant as early as the 6th day or as late as the 19th day.
It is best if you allow her and the male to bred 3 seperate times with at least 24 hours between breedings.
That allows you a much better idea of when to expect the puppies and pre-plan the arrival with your vet, just to be safe.
You can expect puppies between 59 and 63 days from the date of the first breeding.
NOTE if she is bred by two seperate dogs, she can produce puppies by both, so you will need to keep her away from ALL stray males.

In the second week of being in heat...the third is going out of heat...and the first is starting being in heat...so you could have puppies in 63 days if she did get pregnant...

She could get pregnant at any time during her heat from what I understand.

Usually the second week. But if you are not wanting her to get pregnant be careful because it can happen before that!
