i mean, loud, downstairs with all the doors open but clanging the spoon against the dish when you are in bed trying to get another hour's sleep and you feel like getting up and murdering them. am i being petty? i'm gonna have a **** day at work now due to lack of sleep. i don't know whether to raise the issue or let it go

i wouldnt let it go cause it will happen again and again and again my husband eats chips and i swear i can hear him smacking and crunching on the damn things and it drives me beserk and i hate to hear people eating popcorn at the movies too, i hate the crunch sound, it makes me crazy. so no i dont think you are being petty i think some peoples tolerance for bad manners just dont go far. i would say something if i were you cause it will just make you crazy thinking about and not getting any sleep is not cool good luck

No, but if someone in the house is up before you they should have some respect.
Ask them to keep quiet in future. You have every right to.
