Well, it's been 8 months....think about it. You guys should be able to talk about anything at this point. If you feel that you can't speak your mind by telling to be himself, then there's a problem.

Be amusing about it because most likely he does this out of feeling not as good as he thinks he should be. Something like that. Some you can say, aren't you stretching it just a little. Are you sure about that or want me to believe you. Anything to let him know you do not believe all what he says but at the same time not putting him down. This is very common for people to do.

OK, he thinks that as long as you "pretend" to believe him, he can get away with anything.

I say, leave him.

It wasn't meant to be. It's been wonderful, but a relationship with lies, is not a relationship at all.

You can't necessarily call him out on it, that would be....wrong.
He obviously suffers from chronic self-complex issues, do you really want to be apart of that???

find someone who doesn't feel the need to lie....

that would be a much more fulfilling relationship.

Well you have put up with it for 8 Months. Why stop now?You should go ahead and just hear his stupid stories until you find a good man to replace him...You should never be with a liar they will only get worse and it won't do you any good to tell him cause that will just let him know that you don't trust him and it will only confuse him even more..

your right, he feels inadiquite to you. so he needs to compensate for that by tell you things that are not true, that will possible improve his image. don't let it go on any longer, next time you guys are alone, and he tells you a little lie, tell him that he doesn't need tell little lies about himself to impress you. but that's just my opinion, you do what you think is best

If you want to have a serious relationship ofcourse. Because if he's starting lying and you "believing" them, after some months he will start telling you bigger lies. So stop him a.s.a.p!
Just tell him to stop and be himself because you like him better this way...
