Maybe it's a beta version that god never got around to properly revising? Maybe god should speak through another prophet and sort it out? But how will we know whether the next prophet is for real, or just plain nuts? How do we know past prophets were for real?

The past prophets were just tripping their heads off on psychedelic plants and what-not.

It is impossible to show you how the Bible is consistant with itself and the world, without some examples of its "inconsistencies".

Concerning the prophet question - you know a prophet is for real when EVERYTHING he says turns out to be true. You know a prophet is from God when NOTHING he says contradicts the Bible. But, is this truely the question you wanted to ask?

well lets see. Israel is not hardly as big as most counties in the usa, yet every time they so much as belch the whole world takes notice. And in thousands of years, the number of Christians have grown. There are hundreds of millions who claim the religion, and even jews are thrown into the category about the bible, because the torah is from the old testament. Also, in thousands of years, satanists have never been able to kill off every christian, which is very humiliating for them I'm sure.

Sounds like you don't believe in the bible. Well scientist have spent years trying to prove the bible is a lie. They have only succeeded in proving it to be true. The bible never contradicts itself. You have a carnal mind and cannot understand the things of the spirit. The bible is spirit and it is life. You must be saved, or born again to understand the bible. Go to God with a sincere heart, ask him to forgive you of your sins in the name of his son Jesus and then read your bible. He will teach you the truth. Do not ask questions out of ignorance, because you would not know the truth when you hear it. The bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:

Pointing out the absurdities, inconsistencies, and hypocracies of you Atheists is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I strongly suggest that you read the Bible before you knock it.

It is always best to know what you are speaking about before you speak.

God has given us a test for a true prophet. He said that if a man claims to be a prophet of God, everything he says will come true. If that man prophesies something and it does not come true, we are to ignore him completely. A modern example would be Benny Hinn and his health and wealth crowd. Hinn calls himself a prophet, but he is not one.

God's word, for those who know it thoroughly, truly prepares one for all the trials and tribulations of this life. It is full of answers that can be trusted.

Grace and Peace to you.

If that's the way you really look at it, be a good sport, and fish for fun in another pond. But anytime you want to point out a mistake, let me know. I'm sure I can find something valuable to both of us in your observations.

p.s. I wasn't reborn yesterday...

there are none, your understanding is flawed, your ill fated attempt to dispel the bible's claims is a cover for your unwillingness to obey a God you will have to answer to someday, read the works of CS lewis, he set out to disprove the existence of God but because of a genuine search for truth he found the God he didnt believe in he was the greatest christian writer of the 20th century

God never did revise the Bible. It was written by humans, and humans revised it. It is up to you on how to interpret it; for not all of it is true. (^_^)

Hope I've helped!(^_^)
