I'm a true "When Harry Met Sally" fan.
Guys and girls just can not be "just friends"
Unless they are gay, and of the opposit sex. Period.
It always turns out one person or the other develops feelings that are surpassing just friendship...
what can you do?
Be honest, and they (the other person) still has the "hope" that maybe you will see there is something more to it than just friendship....even if they don't verbalize it, you see it in their actions and jealousy when you have interest in another person.

Now, I just speak from personal experience. I have friends who claim differently, but I think they are just oblivious to reality.

I have many friends and I have not fallen in love with most of them. I think the reason is because most of my friends have the same gender as me and I do not date members of the same gender. (male)
