I think he is a flawed human being like all of us. Frankly, I don't want to believe he used synthetic testosterone prior to his Stage 17 win of the 2006 Tour de France, but that is what sources familiar with his "A" sample have indicated. The "B" sample will likely confirm these results and steps will be taken to strip him of his Tour title. Of course, Floyd has now obtained numerous lawyers to help him plead his case and many hearings will follow before anything can be settled. But Floyd will never erase the stigma of having tested positive for synthetic testosterone, regardless of how it ended up in his system, and he will never regain the confidence of some, including me, who were initially willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I thought he earned his win legitimately; I can't say that anymore. Any fair-minded person who watched the Tour this year and marveled at Floyd's dramatic Stage 17 win has to look upon his performance now with great suspicion. :(

Landis was taking supplements and his trainers probably didn't read the bottle fully. All cyclists take supplements. Landis would not be dumb enough to purposely take steroids to have his title stripped away most humiliatingly in front of the world. Armstrong was also accused of taking steroids and had a positive test after his tour win. Eventually the B test came back negative. The same could happen with Landis.

I think that Floyd Landis is an excellent athlete. I think that he is being screwed over by the cycling community because the french are pissed that an American has won 8 years in a row at their race. If it was a Frenchman who tested positive, would they be going through what he is going through with media...No.

I'm a little confused about floyd, because if he did use some sort of steriod, it wouldn't have been so potent over just taking it one day in the race. But, if you notice, his testosterone level was 11 when a normal human is only between 1 - 4. We'll just have to wait until Saturday.

I think the chances are that he did cheat unfortunatly :(

The top pros often take drugs in amounts where they hope to avoid detection. The reports are now saying that the testosterone appears to be synthetic and if true, it doesn't look good for him. You cannot explain away that test easily.

Such a pity because it was a really great tour this year.

Looks guilty at this point if the report on synthetic testosterone is true I say you take away his win and ban him for two years.

It's too bad it was a fun tour anyway.

The funniest thing out of this is that it give Oscar Pereiro the win after they gave him 30 minutes on that long flat stage.

I think that surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to use steroids, he should've known they would've tested him.
