The ones complaining are the ones strategically keeping their distance in hopes that the fallout will hurt America's image.
Although many in other countries have been fooled into thinking that their government is taking the moral high ground on these issues, the truth of the matter is that they're simply playing politics. They hope the EU will gain strength against the U.S. and NATO.

I'm afraid that the United States policing everyone as you say is why they are hated by many countries. Think of it this way: China has an army bigger than the entire population of the United States. They would overwhelm you by sheer numbers, and they also have the weaponry needed. If they decided to tell you how to run your country and that you aren't allowed to have nuclear arms, would you simply abide by their rules? Yes, there are countries I would really rather not have weapons of mass destruction, and I'm not saying that the US shouldn't intervene in any conflict in the world, but I'm just explaining to you why they are hated. Another reason is that the Americans take all the credit even when there are other nations backing you up. Even in movies...I've seen movies depicting WWII, in which they show Americans liberating cities that were in reality liberated by another country. I am from Canada, btw. We join into the fighting when we support a war, and do peacekeeping either way.

Utter nonsense. Since von Rumsfeld unleashed his shock and awe on the Middle East things have gone from bad to worse and now the US has received a bloody nose in Iraq they are wimpering for the rest of the world to come and help them.

Everyone wants the US to do something about everything but they don't want anyone hurt in the process. If another 9-11 type attack happened here in the US people would be crying for Bush to do something. He has been doing something in the Middle East and the libs hate him for it.

I agree in part that sometimes we just need to mind our own business. When every American is clothed, fed and safe then we should worry about other countries. However Isreal is kind of like America's annoying little brother. We kind of finance their "Peace keeping effort" We even pay them handsomely not to start crap with other countries. You know what they say those who don't study history and condemned to repeat it.

Branding the ENTIRE world as having ONE belief or opinion seems to label you a fool.

Midgets somewhat piss me off lots! that could look slightly absurd, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it is the certainty. they're purely so damn short! additionally, i think of that the U. S. economic device, ie capitalism, has thank you to lots impact over our political device--particularly w/ each and all of the particular interest communities and lobbyists and %.. that still pisses me off.
