I have always hung Holiday decorations on my windows and doors. Thie year after taking my Easter decorations down I found to have a lot of scotch tape really stuck to my window. Is there a way to get the tape off of the windows or doors without scratching them too much?

There are many things you can use.... nail polish removals, medicate oil, oil degreaser, soap, detergent etc..... but i have use cooking oil and it works fine too. Bear in mind though, you do not want to leave a stain on the window or lift up the chemically coated surface of the glass with whatever you apply.

There's stuff called Goo Gone which you can buy at hardware stores, it is great for removing tape and sticky residue.

Goo Gone. It smells like citrus and is made of petroleum distillates. They sell it just about everywhere - Home Depot, Walmart, hardware stores, etc.
