Depends where they're going, how late they are, how long they've been flying, whether they're in economy, whether they've left loved ones behind or are meeting loved ones or they're nervous or just bastards or any number of things really.

I think all of the ones you mentioned, the ones who arrive late and are rushing through the checkpoints are the worst, they are very rude and seem to want to blame everyone but themselves. Annoyed ones are the ones who travel and "TSA" can't make up their mind on if shoes come off or stay on, or they've been selected for additional screening, and always are. To me, being a TSA Officer I'd have to say that for some reason most passengers all of a sudden become dumb ( couldn't think of another word), they seem to not understand what we're trying to tell them, we can say take your cell phones, keys, change, etc out of your pockets and they forget for some odd reason and alarm, so we repeat ourselves a lot of times one on one and yet they don't hear us and alarm again, then get upset because they have to go through additional screening. The ones I love and seemed to have a lot today are the ones who will joke around, laugh and have fun with us, we're doing our job and what we're told by Washington DC, and yes a lot of us don't agree with a lot of things.

I actually just spent several hours (delayed flight) with over 50 people. Only a handful acted rushed, annoyed and tired. For the most part, we were friendly, patient and accommodating.

I would say rushed ,stressed, and even bored. If you arrived late or waited longer than expected at security, you will be rushed. If you sitting in the terminal for 4 hours waiting for a lay-over, you would probably be bored. Under any circumstances, I think you would be stressed.

generally, there are two different emotions when people were at the airport ... sad, if they are going away from their loved ones ... and happy if they're coming back ...
