I follow my faith but even in it I tend to march to a different drum and at a different pace. We are not all called to be fit from a mold. Do you follow the crowd and try to fit in, or do you live your life to the best of your ability following your faith and daring to be different if it winds up being so?

For those of you who missed it I am not saying To follow contrary to your religious beliefs but that most of us who truly try to follow Christ and our faiths will find ourselves still a bit different from most in this world. Even different than many that call themselves Christians but are very worldly and world obsessed.

It depends on the area of my life. I follow a minority religion but I am married to a man who is my best friend. I love to garden and work around the house, but the music that I listen to is off-beat. I think I have a good balance between the crowd's drum and my own.

Different drum! I don't know how many people I have seen that are supposedly deeply into their religion, that turn out to be hypocrites who judge other people when they too are not doing RIGHT by God. So I live my life daily with a strong hold on my own emotions, and I really listen to my inner self. I worship nature as well as people. I'm free in spirit!

I like to SAY that I am going against the grain, and being different...but in doing so, I am just one in a crowd of people claiming the same thing.

Where I come from, we call that "high school".

But I'm having a good time, so I don't really care.

Robert Frost in his poem "The Road Not Taken" sums it up nicely for me:

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I neither like to lead nor follow.. just go my own way.

im definetly not a follower, i dont keep up with the latest fashion I just kinda have my own sporty style with make up that suites me and I stick to it.

I dont follow or listen to my parents so they have pretty much given up on trying to tell me how to live my life.

Im catholic and I believe there is a God and we will go to heaven oneday but at the same time - I MAKE MY OWN RULES IN LIFE

Im the only one out of all the girls I know who has the guts to drive a red convertible with the music pumping and rego plates that say MS2SXY

i would nt call myself a leader tho coz people usually dont follow me unless they are a crazy stalker that has no life.

Standing Together in a Deceitful World, or in Yahoo.

1 Corinthians 1:4-10

As believers indwelt by the Holy Spirit, we all belong to God’s family and have a special relationship with one another. We are spiritual brothers and sisters, called by God to live in loving agreement with one another.
Unity in the church or yahoo, occurs when believers live in submission to the Holy Spirit and let Him control attitudes, emotions, and actions. By surrendering the “outward things” that we value about our church — such as its worship style, appearance, and programs offered — we position ourselves to be in one accord with our fellow believers. How can we learn to lay aside our own goals and preferences in order to help our spiritual family? By remembering how precious we are to the Lord and how important others are to Him as well.
Not only is the concept of surrender vital for unity; it is also a key element of love. Biblical love — in Greek, agape — willingly sacrifices so that someone else might benefit. It is the “super glue” that keeps the body of Christ together and enables us to put the interests of others ahead of our own (Colossians 3:14).
Furthermore, within any fellowship, there exists a variety of opinions on many different topics. Diligence and cooperation, along with lots of love — a divinely given fruit of the Spirit — are necessary to preserve the peace (Ephesians 4:3; Galatians 5:22-23).
When we know what we believe and are knitted together in love, error has difficulty penetrating, and false teachers do not stay around. In light of some differences of opinion among believers you know, how might you show love to your spiritual family? argue? Simply state your Biblical fact, and leave it alone.

I march to my own beat. It's kinda slow & personal, - but it works great for me. The thing IS, we have to figure our who we ARE, accept that- & have faith in ourselves, before we can deal with the rest of the world from a position of strenth. None of that is easy to achieve; but ALL of it is worth it. Blend in with the "crowd" and you effectively "disappear".

I like to think I follow after Him! Just to get a look at Him now and then and maybe touch the hem of His garment.....or every now and then run across someone who has met Him or knows about Him, thats what keeps me going.

I would say I'm different in comparison to your average Christian male. Thats mainly because I dont want to fit the mold of "if your a Christian you have to be a sissy".

I follow God, and if that means following his crowd (christianity) then so be it> If i was to find my own beat, that would make me prideful and a sinner. (this is why adam and eve sinned, because they listened to their will instead of Gods!) I believe that we must follow god's plan (bible) if we are to be saved> by following our own "beat" we are easily lost and become easy "prey" for the enemy (satan)>
