The end of the world?

Question

I've been watching the news..a lot. I've been hearing that these are the end times for a while now, but it really freaks me out when the media which is always so non religious starts preaching of end times.
It's driving me crazy.
I feel like I'm too cold to love anyone, too cold to feel and return Gods love, and I'm convinced I'll be lost.
All I feel is fear.
I heard a preacher saying the world will end this month. I'm terrified.
But all of the things that are supposed to happen haven't happened yet. Christ comes after the antichrist creates peace everywhere, right?
So, what's your opinion?
I'm so scared.

To the person that questioned my seriousness.
I am 100% serious.
This has caused me to lose many a night of sleep.

I know that I shouldn't worry. What happens will happen.
But I do.

I would worry about this month too!

The IRanian leader believes in the return of the 12th Imam and some say it happens when the world is in chaos. The Iranian leader believes he can create that chaos., and Aug 21-22 is a date to keep in mind!

Nobody can help you if you insist on being scared, and lets be honest and admit that some people just seem to enjoy being freaked out all the time. If you really want to get over this then just consider that all the dip sticks who are preaching the end of the world are the same morons who were claiming that Y2K was going to be the end of civilization and that Nostradamus had predicted the end of the world in 1999 and so on. Every few years these clods pop up and scare the heck out of the gullible. Don't pay them any attention and use that grey thing between your ears. They've never been right before and why should they be now? You want someone who can predict the future, fine, then find the guy who hits your state lottery's winning number twice in a row. Anybody else is just a fraud. Sleep well.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your saviour, you don't need to fear anything. Yes, the Rapture that is talked about in Revelation will happen, and all the Christians will go up with Christ before the Tribulation. But if you are not a Christian, you might be left behind. The Bible says the God will come back "like a thief in the night", and we are supposed to be ready. It certainly seems like we are getting close to the end times, but no-one can predict exactly when, much less at the end of the month.

People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of recorded history. Most evangelists on TV say the world is going to end so they can con old people into sending them money. Besides the world will never end, people wil eventually kill themselves, but the world will repair itself and start over.

And if you want to know about Revelation which is really about Nero, after the anti christ makes peace, the rapture will happen and the rest of us get left on earth to fight a war for 7 years before Jesus comes back at the pre ordaned time to usher in 1,000 years of peace. Too bad that's not real.

God says those who believe on His Son should not worry, for His Son has conquered all the world. Accept Jesus as your Savior. Don't be stubborn, plz. People need to realize this. No one will know the day of the end of the world, except God the Father. When He tells His Son to come, He will come down. That preacher can't say when it will happen, he doesn't know. Jesus said that when "there are numerous earthquakes, pestilences, violence, wars, rumors of wars," the end is close but is not yet to come." (Matthew 24:6-7) The wars in the Middle East involving Israel also will culminate with the end times. I know it sounds scary. Those who have faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ have nothing to worry about. God is in control of what is about to happen, and many people will be shocked to see how wrong they were by ignoring God's Word. God Bless.

If you feel this then I would seek spiritual guidance.

I don't think the end is coming yet although people were saying that when Monica and Bill were intimate. However, I think that things will come to an end but not in our lifetime. I don't think we'll make it 100 years from now. I think things will finally just go to ******* hell.

I think things will get worse though, no question about that. We're an evil group of animals that are selfish and self destructing. Things will end but I think we have some time.

Nothing to get terrified about. We are all going to die anyway. It is just a question as to how and when.

sometimes i feel that way too but u have to stop urself frm this paranoia... there are worst things happening in other countries like indonesia & Phillipines which is always in constant chaos. they r hit by tsunamis,earthquakes,etc... but u'll nvr hear them say, "thats it its the end of the world!!! arggghh!!" however they always manage to stand back on their feet & rebuild & re-live. U still see them smiling & playing & enjoying themselve... can u imagine at the rate ure gg how u'd live in these situation?

id agree with most answers u'd already have. ppl are killing each other & in a sense, "humanity is gg to end" first, then earth... but we'll nvr know if its aniother 10 or 100000 years to come. so go out with ur friends, have a good time... love one another & do more good. take it as a wake-up call to prevent u from dg anything wrong in the future... u'll feel better darling!

Would you believe me dear one if I told you the world will not end?

There are those of this world who will try to convince you we are near the end and in my heart I wish I could show you that we are not.

Yes these are trying times and many Gnostic's have said that this would be your lifetime of experiencing the end of the world. But that was only a possibility as they saw it. And yes it was a strong possibility! but good news is we have made it past the time of that possibility! We are not going to end this world!

And yes the year of 2012 is still a marker, but only that it now represents a new era for mankind. The possibility of an "upgrade" if we want it.

And yes we still have major problems to solve, earth and weather changes, fear, war, ill health... and we must make major strides soon. But dear one, we are going to get through this. (hopefully with your help)

Stay in your heart (love) and not in fear and I hope by the tone of this note you will realize the world will not end, and know that the universe (God) loves you dearly.

You speak English pretty good, so its likely that you live in a country where English values are kept. Get A Bible that highlights what Jesus says in red, then read and learn what he teaches. One of the things he said was "fear not for I will be with you always, even unto the end of the world." He of course is talking to all who will listen and do what he teaches. Do not listen to the anti-christ who teaches that Jesus just lived and died for your sins. So Satan is stronger than Gods love, that God had to ransom his own son for your sins? Don't be rediculous, love is the greatest power to ever exist, it is something we have to work at, but would you want the alternative to go to your children?

ok this is wierd because i've been worrying bout the same thing. i dont, but 4 now im just doin what pleasing me on the earth and please god the best way i can. NO BODY KNOWS WHEN THE WORLD IS GONNA COME TO A END. It could be tommarrow or decades from now. Just think about what makes you happy on earth and please God and hopes that he lets you in on judgment day! In the bible it say: "Rejoice in the Lord always.: Which means be happy. Dont waste time and happieness on think bout some things that you will never know. Life is to short. Be happy and love others in your heart. THATS ALL TEH ADVICE I HAVE FOR YOU! IM ME ANYTIME! LUV YOU
