There are several things to look for.

The first thing is happy children. Are the kids smiling and laughing and squealing (happily during outside play) If you pull up to a place and there are several crying children, no matter what time of day it is, drive away.

Next, check child/staff ratio. There are laws in every state defining how many staff members the daycare must have per child. In some states, the infant ratio is 1to1. A GOOD daycare will have the required number and a couple extra. Extra hands are always good, and the daycare is covered when someone is out sick. Is there enough staff to keep the children safe?

Third, check for cleanliness. If they don't keep the place clean, what other neglect might be going on unseen? Also, the facility should be odor free. (I mean toilet odors, obviously.)

Next, observe how organized they are. Is there organized play? Do the children line up to go outside, to the bathroom, to get a drink? Is free play adequately supervised? Are there organized classroom activities? Are the children required to put their things away when they're through with them? Do they have regular fire drills?

Cost will vary according to your area. To best find out what you SHOULD be paying do a comparison search online.

Be up front with them about your son not being potty trained yet. Some daycares are unwilling to take untrained children. They will almost certainly want him to wear pullups and be started with his training.

There are some good facilities out there. Don't put him anywhere you aren't 100% happy with.

Good luck!

Kindercare. I believe they have got many areas national. My kids are a million and just about three. Monthly rate for the older one is $950. More high-priced for the more youthful one. Children are stored is separate rooms: Infants, a million-year historical walkers, two-yrs, three-year historical potty expert, and so forth. The amenities are blank, and toys are sanitized everyday. Kids wash palms earlier than consuming. Safety: For mom and dad to get into the power, we input a code. Once a month, they do hearth drills. Discipline: They do not do time-outs. They could inform the youngster not to , and become independent from different child in the event that they had been combating. Potty coaching: Teacher stated she is going to let us know whilst he's capable to be potty expert, so we did not do some thing... till final week! I agree that he was once no longer capable previous. Now the lecturers are potty coaching a couple of youngsters while. The restroom has two small bogs, and so they circular the children up each and every period, and line them up to make use of the potty. Seeing his peers use the potty has been operating to allow our son use it too. Meals: Meals are cooked on-website online everyday, and include nutritious meals with vegetables and end result. I like this facility definitely, however nonetheless examine the nearby core. The men and women there possibly distinct from those now we have. Every position is distinct.

the answer before me was great. you can also look for accreditation facility's. it's also in my opinion better to look for an early learning center rather then a daycare. his to young for preschool but at three that would be the best place for him. when looking keep in mind what they do during the day is there a schedule and are they teaching or just playing. Depending on who you are and what people your son in around now, it's a good idea to look at what other children are in that center would he be comfortable or not. also make sure there caregivers(teachers) have CDA or AA in early child hood. That means they have done there school. Doesn't mean their smarter just mean they know what is expected of them Rather than thought with out so you my feel better leaving your child there. one last thing check to see if they ofter meal or do you need to bring them. if they give them make sure the meet all the stands and nutrition guide lines.

GOOD LUCK HOPE YOU FIND A GOOD ONE BECAUSE THERE OUT THERE JUST LOOK
