1:Prisoners are costing millions of dollers a year to taxpayers. I know people who, although "free" are worse off than prisners. Why do we pay so much to supply prisners with a good life? They get cable tv (I don't even have that!) their own beds, toilets, showers, clothes, roofs, shelters, and so much more! They even have good computers sometimes! They get fed each day, time to chill, time to work, and time to sleep. They are taught skills and allowed some minor freedomes. Why do we have to pay for criminals to live better than some people who don't have homes. They get medicle care, protection, and drugs.for FREE!! paid for courtesy of the US taxpayers!What a shocker!
Is it just me, or is their treatement more reward than punishment? Isn't it an outrage?

ARG! The STUPID ACLU! they are so annoying! They HATE Christians, love PETA, and are for a lot of stupid "rights ideas..." Should you even get rights if you are in prison? It should be like being grounded, only more severe. Heck! To me, it seems like being on probation is worse! Most rights should be taken away! Its like school. As soon as you come in the gate, your rights go bye bye! No free speech, no "right to arms" no nothing! you must abide by All rules! But NOOOOOOOOO!!!! The ACLU whines like little babies that its "unconstitutional" or is not right, and you know what?! They get their way most of the time! They even removed the CROSS from the CALIFORNIA SEAL!!!!! It is not RIGHT!!!

I have worked at a prison for many years....in some cases I agree that inmates are treated better than the free....BUT...
Let's think about the rapes and sexual abuse that some of these people endure.....did they ask for this...Have you ever slept on a metal bed..How comfortable was that?....Have you ever took a shower with 5 different people while several other people were standing there watching? Have you ever had to take your clothes off to be searched naked each time you came in and out of your home? .......Have you ever had to sleep in a locked room with a person that you do not know whether or not the person is a raper, murderer,etc....Have you ever had to sleep with one eye open and one eye closed for fear of being killed while you are sleep or worse?...Have you ever eaten food so nasty that a dog would not even eat it? Have you ever had to go all day at your house without being allowed to go into your room or sit on your bed?
The states do not buy all items that inmates need....If an inmate has relatives on the outside...the inmates are allowed to receive money and buy items for personal use..
The inmates have to pay for medical service..although it may not be as high as the rates we pay....
The inmates are taught skills.....hoping that they will use skill as a survival method when they get out of prison...
Even though they are locked up....prisoners are also making the states money.......
The prisoners work on vegetable and fruit farms, pig farms, cow farms, dairy farms,horse farms, they make car license plates, mattresses for beds, breed seeing eye dogs for the blind,clean state highways, parks, and schools all for free....
Can you even imagine for the inmates on death row what it is like to wonder each day ..Is this the day I am going to be put to death?
I am thankful each day for my personal freedom...but I do not even attempt to think that an inmate has it easy..because they don't.....
For the inmates that have committed horrible violent crimes....I believe that an eye for an eye is justice.....BUT...what about the people who are locked away from society for stealing to feed their children, or the person who is locked away for killing a jealous lover who tried to kill her....
I do not agree wtih all of the laws concerneing the criminal justice system...BUT...I will uphold the laws...
Do not ever think that all prisoners are just sitting there doing nothing....

The reason they get treated that way is
A. Lawyers who sue the Department that is holding them if they are not treated like Royalty.
If a subject under arrest claims to be sick or in pain the Dept arresting has to pay all medical bills and medication. Even if they only there for the night.
B. Alot of people think that they should have the same rights as everyone and that the idea of Prison is not to punish but rehabilitate and reform. These people usually work for or support such organizations as the ACLU. They believe there is no such thing as a bad person (unless they display a cross,pray in public,display the Nativity Scene at Christmas) just people in bad circumstances that didn't have chance as a child

My heavens, I not ever had been flashed, however I did by chance flash a couple of people as soon as. I was once within the clinic a while again and determined to take a stoll to the merchandising subject. Well, I wasn't considering what I was once dressed in and, allow's simply say that the ones clinic robes do not depart plenty to the creativeness at the bottom. The nurse got here up from in the back of me and placed a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was once thinking about why it was once a bit of drafty again there!

Well it all has to dew with a bunch of rich communist lawyers called the ACLU. They take the "cruel and unusual" clause out of perportion. That is why some homeless people want to go to jail because then they wopuld have someplace to live and have cable TV and eat steak everyday. They even have access to the internet including pron, yeah like they need that. The military is worse off than those people in jail.

Well I would ask how long they have access to these things they have.
Here prisoners do get these things but generally as a reward for good behaviour. Why should they be allowed these things? Because it allows them to control them to a degree.
Computers allow prisoners to communicate and to learn which can in turn help them to go straight, surely thats something we want our criminals to do?

i agree it is outrageous. personally i think that they should go back to the days of an eye for an eye.
