I believe that love is more than an emotion. A lot of people think that love is when you get butterflies in your stomach and when you talk about sweet nothings, sitting on a swing the whole day, with your loved one. And then, when those emotions aren't there, they think they've 'fallen out of love'. I strongly disagree with this. Emotions come and go, sometimes are enjoyed, sometimes are unwelcome, but love is more than that. Love is what keeps you together when there aren't butterflies, when there's no time to sit on a swing set the whole day, when there are too many responsibilities that won't allow you time to kiss in the rain. Love is what keeps you together when you're angry, it's what teaches you to forgive. It's what pushes you to work at it, to make a new start, to be determined, to go on, until the butterflies come along again, and there's time again to sit on the swing set the whole day, and there's places to kiss in the rain.

You can care about people without having the commitment of love to them. Like, you may care about someone, but not lay down your life for the person. You could care about someone's cold, but not invite him/her into your house because you don't want to catch it.

I read a church sign the other day that said" Caring is love in action". I think this is very true, and lets not get silly and talk about objects-but people. I cared for this girl for three years so deeply and the whole time she lived her life really wild and lied to me about a lot of it. I still cared for her after everything. I realized that I cared so much for her because I loved her. I know this sounds funny but I feel like I cared about her much more than I loved her. In other words I was acting very heavily on my love for her. You can't care without loving someone. You may care about sex or something else and not love them but you are not caring for them-rather what they can give you, hence, you do not love them. How you care for someone shows how you love them. Hope this helps.

Care and love are both charitable characters. However, love starts where care ends as it takes an extral effort to love but care is expected of all. You first care before you love. Mistaking care for love will be appreciated if you were attended to by a good nurse while on admission. That is care, because for her it is a routine, it is different from love which is supposed to be more of a feeling.

There definatly needs to be care before love blooms. But you can care for someone without being in love. Love has chemistry which can't be explained. Love is deeper than careing. Love often can't be explained or be faked

Love is...

Love is patient; love is kind

and envies no one.

Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;

never selfish, not quick to take offense.

There is nothing love cannot face;

there is no limit to its faith,

its hope, and endurance.

In a word, there are three things

that last forever: faith, hope, and love;

but the greatest of them all is love.
~ 1 Corinthians 13 ~

Caring is...

Feeling and exhibiting concern and empathy for others and/or having or displaying warmth or affection

You could care for someone without needing to love. But you can never love someone without needing to care.

I take care of my kitchen floor because I want it clean for my family. I sweep and mop until it shines. I take care of my floor, but I do not love it.

A nanny may provide care for an infant as her job may require, but the mother will care for the infant because she loves it.
