Your question is really brief, if you are asking how to quit smoking, I wish I had the answer, but I have found a good way to cut back. Never more than 1 cigarette in an hour. Never carry cigarettes with you. Make certain places off limits to yourself, like in the car or at the computer. Try to cut back first then the nicotine dependancy lessens. I used to smoke a pack a day now I am down to 7 to 9 cigarettes for the past year.

Pick an organ system in the body, and smoking will harm it. Conversely, stopping smoking will benefit it.
Lungs - smoking increases risk of cancer, worsens asthma, and causes emphysema. You'll be out of breath faster, something every athlete desires.
Heart - smoking increases risk of coronary artery disease, heart attacks, and poor peripheral circulation. It can cause or worsen high blood pressure.
GI tract - smoking increases risk of cancer of the throat and colon.
Skin - increases wrinkles and speeds the aging process - good for every image-conscious smoker.
Sex life - well, the penis is part of the peripheral circulation, and guess what? Smoking will worsen circulation there, too. Have fun, porn star.
There's more.
So, if your question is Should I quit smoking? and you care about any of the above... well, I shouldn't even have to say more.

Should you quit smoking? Yes. It's better for your health. Did I quit smoking? I went cold turkey. I don't think I've ever been so grumpy in my entire life as that first week...I kept biting carrots wishing I was biting people's heads off :)

No second thoughts on this: If you smoke- just quit it....without even thinking about whether or not!

Ok, its easier said than done..
I quit smoking for 6 months.. i was doing pretty good... then my wedding day turned into a disaster--my father in law was admitted to the hospital i work at ON MY WEDDING DAY, my mother in law had to move in with me (since they live in Cali, and we live in PA) and she got real paranoid.. and i tried to stay clean, but i failed.. and now its harder than ever for me to quit.

the patch. highest success rate, gaurantees stable dose of nicotine over a long period of time. keep the gum in your pocket if you have an extra large craving. if you need something to do with your hands, grab bottled water.
