It seems that some people have some good ideas here, and others are way off base. You want slow burning carbs, things like oatmeal, milk, whole-grain bread products, etc. Good protein from things like ham, eggs and milk (no bacon/sausage!). And healthy fats from peanut butter, eggs, milk, and low-fat cheeses.
In terms of small items that will fill you up for a long time, I have a great solution.
The smoothie. This will top out at 400 or so calories, if you follow my ingredient list!
1 cup milk
1 cup yogurt
1 scoop whey protein powder
1 piece fruit/it's equivalent weight for berries
4 ice cubes
Blend until you have a mixture which is slightly more runny than a milkshake. Consume.
You can purchase strawberry protein powder, then throw in strawberry and banana yogurt, and a banana as your fruit, and wham, 425 calories, massive amounts of good proteins, great carbs, and healthy fats! Plus this meal fills like an 800-1,000 calorie Denny's breakfast. Feel free to experiment with ingredients to get your own flavor!

P.S. cpinatsi doesn't know how your digestive system works. Fat does not raise your insulin levels very much, which is why you can eat a lot of fat on the atkins diet, but still drop weight. Sugary carbs raise your insulin levels and are digested extremely quickly. Slow burning carbs, proteins, and fats all take 3-4 hours to digest, the longest of all macromolecules!

Boiled eggs is a good idea. Why not add a glass of orange juice and maybe a piece of brown toast to that.
I eat cereal (All Bran) with skim milk every morning. I used to skip breakfast and just eat Lunch and dinner. But, I would be so hungry that by the time lunch came, I would want to eat everything.
But since eating breakfast, that doesn't happen anymore.

I'm a little confused with the day or dayS....do you just wanna eat once in the morning and be full for a couple of days? (Or did I just read more outta what you said) If that's the case, that's a horrible idea. If I'm wrong and you just wanna be full till you can eat later that day, oatmeal, 1 boiled egg, and some apple slices. That's what I do.

I completely agree with those who suggested a balanced breakfast with protein/carbs/fats. Also I agree with eating 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day--all of which should be balanced and include protein. The human body is 7 times more efficient at burning fat with more protein first thing in the morning. I am constantly on the go and have found AdvoCare's Meal Replacement Shake (actually tastes fantastic) to be optimal for me. I put it in the blender with fresh fruit and out the door I go. The shake provides a balance of 24 grams of carbohydrates and 24 grams of easily digestible protein plus 50% of the Daily Value of bone-supporting calcium as well 24 other vitamins and minerals. It's awesome! Check it out in three flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla and Berry. It's a part of AdvoCare's TRIM product line on the following website:

Best of Luck to you.

protein is best. it will keep you feeling full longer. Eggs, bacon, meat, soy, some dairy.
To stay healthy, the farthest you should push it is eating twice a day; morning and late afternoon/evening.
Nothing you eat will keep you feeling full for days. Ok... well, a brick or a shoe or something. But nothing that won't kill you on it's way out.

1. A toastie (bread and cheese)+a fruit
2. Boiled eggs + a juice is OK
Don't have too much fat though, like fried eggs, waffles etc, it produces insulin and you get hungry soon.

No matter what you eat in the morning, you'll get hungry later in the day. Human beings need to eat a few times a day.

Protien and fiber is the best thing for early morning meals, if you are trying to lose weight do a egg white omelette with low fat cheese and veggies/spinach. drink a glass of fat free milk. that should hold you over til luch

A half a cup of oatmeal may seem like a small amount, but it will make you feel full for a LONG time. And it's good for you.
