yeah and see that's not being a christian that's just being self-righteous I'm baptist and I have felt the best way to get someone to see your message is by being positive and helping others when you can . that's true christianity , not chasing people down and smacking them over the head with the bible.

Why don't you just say, I do not believe in the Christian bible.
Did you read it? If so, I direct you to the Gospel of John regarding how Jesus dealt with believers and nonbelievers. It is all there for you to read.
The Christian bible is word of God as spoken through the prophets; it is not a conversion manual. Jesus asked his disciples to spread the message to all nations, not to convert everyone. If you know the message, then smile and say "you already have heard it." If you have heard the message, then the Christian job is done. You will either believe it or not.
Christians are followers of Christ, and Jesus was very specific on how Christians were to act. I could quote you many verses regarding living with nonbelievers, but you really are not the one needing instruction. The problem is with people who claim to be Christians and do not follow Jesus' teachings.
In short, Christians need to be spreading the message, not shoving bibles in people's faces. The bible is for the believer and is not a conversion manual for the unbeliever. If there is any doubt, have your "in your face, so called" Christian read the Gospel of John.
There are a lot of foolish people out there, you just need to separate the wise from the rest. Sorry that you were bothered by the unwise.

dude, you have no idea.....
i went to a catholic school for 9 years. i can quote the bible with the best of them, including all the things that contradict the other things. if people would just wake up an realize its not a history book...... its a book of examples in how to live in harmony with others as best we can. its not meant to give all the answers, the idea of faith is that there is some mystery to it. you're not gonna have everything handed to you, you're gonna have to make some decisions on your own, and try to figure things out for yourself. if you already had all the facts, its not faith anymore.
just scan some of my other answers. i usually talk about this little catch 22 about how the devil didnt really have any choice in being the bad guy. that usually makes them run home cross eyed and drooling.
and for the record, i believe that there must be something more than what we understand in this life, and thats why i choose to live by code of morality and spirituality. i dont know who or what god is, and i'm not about to tell anyone how they should live.

Naw, I like 'em. Love to hear people preaching the Gospel and spreading the Word of God. You see, it's like the world is in the dark, and those people are holding up torches for us to see the right path. Without the light, we'd soon get lost and stray off into quicksand, or maybe a nest of rattlers, or trip over a rock, or walk right off a cliff, or wander into a cave and find ourselves at a dead end, or walk right into a bunch of thornbushes, or a bear, or get buried in a landslide, or get swept away in a flash-flood, or get poked in the eye by a tree branch.

I'm a christian and they get on my nerves if they are overly aggressive or try to talk to people who've made it clear they are not interested.
But your term "Hard core bible fanatic" is not a good team one can be a fan of the bible and still respect your right not to discuss a topic.

You are about to get flooded by a Torrent of "Biblical Babble" of Biblical Proportions LMAO
You know that the Religious Dogmatic Ones can use Biblical Babble to prove anything and everything without any proof whatsoever!
So, be careful, before they use the Biblical Babble to prove that you don't exist! LOL 8-)
Yes, the Biblical Babble annoys me no end ;-)

No, considering I believe in the Bible. I dont exactly approve of some peoples methods, though. If someone asks I try to tell them, not push it. Otherwise I try to live my life by example, I think that is better than trying to shove it down someones throat and hoping they swallow.

Jesus is my savior, but I do understand what you mean about different people trying to push different religions on you. I don't believe in religion, but I do believe in God and Jesus is my savior. He has given me the greatest gift I will ever receive. But I also choose to follow the bible to the best of my ability and I know I will still sin, because I am only human. I do not like it when different religions try to push themselves on me, as I feel there is only one God and he cannot be of thousands of different religions. Everyone thinks their religion is the right one and I feel it is not about religion, it is about God and how he sent his son to die on the cross for my sins. Now, if someone chooses to not believe in God, that is their decision and I would never try to push God onto them. You are right, it is wrong!

Oh yeah, they bug me. The only thing is, I used to be one of them. So instead of being super-annoyed with them, I pity them. I've been there, and I've experienced the "Jesus-high" they've got, but once the "high" wears off, you're left lower than before. And the "higher" they are, the lower they fall. So I just feel bad for them...but then I laugh when I tell them my story and they think I'm working for the devil.

Yes, but more for their opinions on certain issues. It is their duty to spread the Good Word. They are doing it for you sake.
Oh, and by the way, not every evangelizer is a "fanatic."

Jesus who being all-knowing knew that his eternal well being was not at risk only his physical body which would endure great pain to save the eternal lives and souls of all mankind. Its interesting for me to think of all the humans in the history of mankind who have sacrificed there physical body for much much less.I.E. Freedom, life, theyre countries well-being, theyre families well-being and the list goes on further as we both know.At the risk of entering a zone considered to be taboo, I assert to you that Jesus' sacrifice to endure physical torture was a miniscule price to pay for the reward that entailed that choice.Hundreds of millions of mere mortal men have endured much more for a much lesser reward for theyre fellow man.I personally would easily lay down my life for my Wife,Mom, Dad, and Brother. Every soldier that risks his life for his fellow man makes this same sacrifice for you, me , and his fellow man on a daily basis. Not to save the souls of the entire human race that ever existed and ever will exist but merely and solely to secure your right of freedom, and freedom of religion being one of those. True heroes seldom get the rewards and accolades that they deserve.Next Veterans day take all that energy you use to praise Jesus and go buy a soldier a thank you card.thank you for your time.Good day!
