Where are you looking for to find the year of the vehicle? If you are looking in the door jam, then you are probably reading something that is not there. There are really only 2 ways to find out what year your truck is. One of the figures in your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) stands for the year of the vehicle. Also look under the hood at the emissions sticker. On it you will see..."conforms to EPA regulations for ---- model year." If you were actually sold a vehicle that was a year older then was alleged, then see a lawyer. You will have to have proof, so bring all pertinent documents with you.

I guess you mean truck. Read the papers you signed, if they say 1999 you have something. If not you probably signed a paper that said this is the agreed contract regardless of anything that was said. Treat it as a life lesson to always read the paperwork. A contract is binding even if you did not read it.
