How do i convert MPEG 4 to MP3's?to put on Sidekick 3 phone?

I just got a sidekick 3. The only bad thing is that it only plays mp3. Now I thought the music i bought on itunes and the songs i downloaded from cd's were mp3. But no. So does anyone know how i can get my songs on my sidekick?

Thanks for everyone help I did covert my music by by burning my songs and then downloading them back on the computer onto real player. And i turned my music i bought from itunes into MP3's . Only bad thing is that when i downloaded all my music it didnt transfer the music info like the name of the song and stuff. Thanks

Also i found out that when u copy songs on ur cd to itunes u can have have options to download as an mp3 files. You go to edit then preferences than click on tab says advanced. then click on importing then click importing use and choose mp3 decorder. And it will work.

ok, the easiest way to do it (and the way that I do it) to get it on my phone is just to burn a CD, then take the CD and put it back in the computer and then copy from there. somehow the burning of the cd changes them to mp3s, but then you lose the title info. have you tried windows media player and convert to mp3? I've done it like that too, but some songs don't work because itunes has them locked up. but it works with the cd method, a little pain in the *** though. i'm going to keep this on my watch list and see if anybody has a better way.

I dont think you can change a video file like mpeg4 to an audio file like mp3 but I do know that to get an mp3 from your cd you have to rip the cd with either musicmatch or real player into your computer and then you can transfer it to your sidekick hopefully.....
