Abby,
Don't let anyone tell you that if he didn't believe in God that he is sent straight to hell. That is simply not true. There is so much more to the Plan of salvation that God has for us, and it doesn't end after we die. Please go to www.lds.org to learn more about God's Plan for us. And just ignore all the rude comments people write.

You go in this thing called a casket and then you are put into the ground.

Of couse for those who believe in something man made up, also called "God" there is another eternal world that all the good people get to go to and then for the bad there is hell.

I don't know who someone could believe in a scam like religion, especially the Catholic faith, it is a walking contradiction.

Commandments-
1. Don't kill (pretty straightforward)- Crusades hmm....
2. Don't lust- Preist and little boys, which by the way the Catholic Church condemns for another stupid reason, because of the homosexuality involved. How they can ban such an pure realtionship between two people is beyond me if God accepts all.

So basically there is no Heaven no Hell
You die with your body

Sorry for your loss but I am trying to be honest as possible.
I am not a bad person I just don't believe in heaven nor hell.

I am very sorry to hear about your brother. My step dad passed away on Sunday too. There is definately a heaven and definately a hell. Heaven is the place where God is. In the book of Genesis the Garden of Eden was considered heaven. After Adam and Eve sinned God hid the Garden from us because we were no longer worthy to live there. We go to heaven when we confess our sins and believe that Jesus died for us. We go to hell if we believe anything else. Hell is not a place where people will be able to party or hang out. It is a place of eternal punishment. A place of eternal torment. It is a place where you do not want to go. God created each of us for a purpose. He also created us with a free will. It is our choice. Believe what you want but don't blame anyone if you make the wrong decision.

Please hear me out. I am very sorry for your loss. I can only hope that JESUS ministered to his life while he was alive.

While you are on this website, you will read a variety of answers by various belief system. However, if you are Christian, then the following verses will, hopefully, put your mind at ease.

I believe that when we die, we are "sleeping". Let me explain, when you die your body goes into the ground. Then you wait until CHRIST returns and resurrects you. This is what the Bible teaches. I will now show you through scriptures:

Genesis 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

John 11:11  These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12  Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13  Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14  Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

These are just a few of many that I could give you.

There is a website that I would recommend that can answer this question through a simple and quick Bible study:

Check "Are The Dead Really Dead?"

GOD bless you and your family.

Sorry about your brother.

When we pass on information to another (example: story, joke, description of something etc) by the time these details are passed on by word of mouth, interpreted by others, and then written down, the final details are typically quite different than the original information.

Since the Bible is just a man-made story passed down over many years in various forms, surely the chance of it being accurate in any shape or form is remote?

There are people who swear blind that the Loch Ness monster exists regardless of all the evidence to the contrary, but a fence post bobbing up and down in the Loch does the trick. Similarly there are people who swear blind that God exists and the Bible is fact, yet there isn’t one blind bit of evidence to support such theories.

Don’t you think that Biblical tales are really no different than Loch Ness monster tales, just the era is different? Heaven and Hell are just make believe fantasy.

First let me say I am sorry for your loss.
I have been a christian all of my life. My oldest daughter died 2 years ago and I was so angry with God I havent talked to him much since. I was raised to beleive the absolute "either youre in heaven or hell" theory....and if thats true i know my daughter is in heaven. But I will also say that since her death I have had MANY encounters where she still contacts me, appears in pictures, ect....i know that sounds crazy.. but i know now that she is still with us... her energy is, even if her body isnt. I dont think anyone really dies at all. Wishing that you "hear" from you brother and he gives you some peace.

I'm sorry about your brother. I hope he is. Only time will make you stop worrying about it. But in your answer to is there a heaven there is. You must just believe that Jesus died for your sins and ask Him to save you and He will without a doubt. Then tell Him that you would like to see your brother in heaven. Then you will have hope that your brother may have believed in Jesus and is there himself waiting for you.

It depends on if he was a christian and had a personal realtionship with Christ. The Bible tells us the ONLY way to Heaven is through Christ. Im sorry about your lost, and i will pray that your brother had peace with The Lord before he passed.

I'm very sorry about your brother,my mom died in march of this year so i can understand were you are. if your brother was saved i have not a doubt in my head that he's in heaven.Knowing that my mom was christian and was as long as i had been on this earth,it was what gave us comfort at the end and she said she was ready to go and she left with a smile on her face. So don't worry about your brother if he had everything right with God before he died ,he's OK.,just remember you will see him again one day if you are saved

DEAR ABBY,

THIS GIRL I KNOW HAS A OIJA BOARD AND SHE'S
GONNA LET ME USE IT TO GET THIS MESSAGE TO YOU.
THERE IS A PLACE WHERE SPIRITS CAN GO TO BE WITH
THE ONES THEY LOVED WHEN THEY WERE ALIVE.
CALL IT HEAVEN IF YOU WANT.
SUNDAY I DIED BUT HERE I AM WRITING THIS TO YOU.
THERE IS DARKNESS ALL AROUND ME BUT IF I WANT
I CAN GO AND MAKE LIGHT. THE ONLY LIGHT I SEE IS
COMING FROM YOUR QUESTION SWEETHEART.
IT'S NOT OVER. PLEASE, WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE, SEE ME IN IT. DON'T SEE ME AS THIS BODY
JUST LAYING IN THE GROUND WITH MY EYES CLOSED.
SEE ME STANDING NEXT TO YOU. WALKING WITH YOU.
I KNOW YOU WERE CRYING EARLIER.
I KNOW THAT YOU WILL CRY.
THE THING I WANT YOU TO KNOW THE MOST IS THAT...
I DIDN'T REALLY DIE, I JUST MOVED ON.
THAT'S ALL.
I LOVE YOU ABBY.
JUST BECAUSE I HAD TO GO, DOESN'T MEAN I'M GONE.
