Well it all depends on how much she drinks and her size. A average person matabolizes (breaks down and absorbs) about 1 shot or drink an hour out of their system. If she is drinking 5-6 drinks... then it takes about 5-6 hours for them not to be able to be detected. If she is a smaller girl.. then might take longer or visa-versa.

BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) is determined by weight, # of hours, # of drinks, experience, and what you ate that day. Many simple tricks can throw off aftermarket breathalizers such as the one your mom bought.

You might have to give your sister the benefit of the doubt every now and again because they are quite inaccurate unless they are the ones that the cops give. Even those need to be followed up by a blood test at the station.

I dont really understand the wording of your question but it seems like you are on your sisters side and are trying to help her from your over reactive mom.

If so, what Iwould do is research the device in comparison to soemthing like "consumer report" magazine or google the product and look up actual user reviews. You might find that it sucks a$$!

I have had customers that have purchased those things and it was always a good joke at the bar I worked at. Once a guy had nothing but pepsi to drink and it said that he was blitzed.

For normal social-type drinking, the highest BAC is usually achieved within 30 minutes after completion of consumption, though it could take as long as 60 minutes. When large amounts of alcohol are consumed over a short time interval, or when a large quantity of food is eaten with the alcohol, the absorption phase may not be complete for up to two (2) hours after last consumption.

So, this means, that if she's socially drinking.. about 30mins-a hour after a drink, and if she's drinking alot, it will take a little longer.

Depends on the amount of alcohol she drank. The body clears about 1 drink per hour, so if she had 6 beers or 6 mixed drinks, it would take six hours for her to read zero on the breath test. Also many things like mouthwash and cold medicine can give false positives on the breath test.

alcohol regardless of gender, weight or height will generally be in your system for one hour. so a one ounce shot of whiskey one hour, two shots two hours etc... or you drink a six pack of beer it'll stick around for six hours. even after the time frame is over it could still be detectable by a breathalyzer for a short period of time

for every drink you have, it takes one hour to get out of your system.
6 drinks = 6 hours. thats how many hours it will detect it.

well i know that it depends on how much you drink and how much you weigh. but i know it stays in your system longer than you think and you can still be drunk the next day even thought you think you slept it off, took a shower or ate.
