Campfires, marshmellows, hiking. We used to play flashlight tag at night around the campsite. It's very fun you run around in the dark and shoot each other with flashlights. If your sneaky enough you can scare the crap out of each other. Lots of fun in the woods at night. Try not to be expecting all the glamour of the big city. Just take time to slow down and experience the nature around you. Look for the little things like flowers and birds, or listen to all the cool sounds. Try to figure out what your listening to. The only limit to what you can do while camping is not using your imagination.

We camp twelve months out of the year. We live in a cabin on the river. Let's see what do we do? We go fishing, swim, and also have internet, and satelite TV. Guess you wouldn't call that camping would you. Seriously, just enjoy the outdoors. There are lots of things to do and see. Organize a nature scavenger hunt. Make a list of things to find, a maple leaf, a rock, a berry, etc.

lol, you have nothing to complain about. I'm too have a family reunion to go to tomorrow. I'm going to look like a real jackass because my side of the family are considered the "black sheep" because we're not rich or classy like they are. I'm going to have to face my cousins again who were honor students making straight A's in AP courses and me and my sister just being average students and them rubbing it in our faces. The outdoors, despite who I would be with, i'd kill to go on a camping trip just to see the outdoors and to get away from everyday life. Be fortunate to take this trip because things could be worse like my family reunion and if you really don't like the trip, like some of the answers above, bring a magazine or something like that but you could still have fun just being away from your city for a while.

What's more important to you than family? Take a few minutes and talk to the oldest relatives there. You won't have the option to talk to them forever ya know. Cherish that time. Find one cousin or other relative that you enjoy and take a walk. Make the most of the trip instead of approaching it with a negative attitude.
There is very little more important than family.

Go with your mind set that you are going to have a good time. Carry a positive attitude with you that you are going and you will enjoy yourself. Set out to meet some long lost relative that you really enjoy, or to discover something new about nature you didn't know. YOU decide the outcome of the trip, why don't you make it now?
